I recently stayed here for one night after the Reach the Beach relay race that ended in the Hampton Beach area. I highly recommend this place!

To start, when I was shopping around for places to say, I sent Mainsail an inquiry email and they were one of the first places to get back to me with a price and availability. I was impressed by the responsiveness compared to other places I contacted.

Upon arrival, I was not disappointed. I'll break down the categories:

Service: The owners of the hotel greeted me and checked me in. They were very pleasant and nice and let me know if I needed anything I could call them even if the office was closed.

Parking: It was nice that one parking spot is available for each room rented so you can plan to park on the premise.

Location: Can walk to the beach in minutes - doesn't get much better than that!

Room: Spacious and clean. I had 2 rooms with 2 queen beds. In the rooms there was also a small table and chairs, fridges, and a small kitchen like sink. One of my rooms even had a side small bedroom with a 3rd queen bed which was nice. We felt comfortable with plenty of space. The room was clean upon arrival and the beds were comfortable to sleep. It was a great set up for 5 friends to stay on a "girls weekend" trip.

Overall, I feel the price paid for the room was well worth the stay. I recommend if you are looking for a nice affordable place to say in the area.

Park your car and forget about it. Walking distance to beach, boardwalk, and restaurants. The room was dated, as are most of the others in the area, but clean. Owners could not have been more pleasant, great food suggestion and more than helpful. Nice heated pool, value for the money was ok at best. Wifi was weak and iffy. Will definitely go back next year.

Room tip: If you have issues with stairs, ask for a lower, 3 levels and no elevators.

We attended the 25th seafood festival this year and stayed at this same motel. We have had a long standing relationship with the previous owners and I must say the new owners are more than friendly. They really did go out of there way to make sure everyone was comfortable and happy in their stay. Some rooms have been updated and the decks and railings have been painted. I'm sure we will be staying here for years to come, hopefully even on other weekends besides the festival.

Room tip: Book early, they fill up fast !!

My mother, aunt and fiancé have been staying at this motel for years. We rent cottage 4A for a week in the summer and will stay in the motel part when coming up for deep sea fishing on a weekend. I think the motel has always been great but now with the new owners, Kara and Dave the motel is just awesome. They are both such wonderful people and you know it as soon as you meet them. They really care about making your stay a great one and have put so much time and energy in updating the Mainsail. The rooms and property are immaculate. The staff work very hard and do an awesome job. I strongly recommend anyone looking to stay at Hampton, book your reservation with the Mainsail, you won't regret it!!
We thank Kara and Dave for such a wonderful time at their motel this year.

My wife, 6 year old daughter, and myself made our yearly visit to Hampton Beach and to the Mainsail.. This was our seventh straight year at the Mainsail..What we didn't know is that they were under new ownership. We immediately met one of the owners, Kara, who was working at the front desk..she told us about her and Dave, the other owner, taking over and all the changes they had already made, and the exciting changes they would be making in the off-season.. This was our best stay yet, and Dave and Kara are hands on owners for sure. They remembered our daughter's birthday was that week and both wished her a happy birthday when they saw her.. she will never forget that, as will we..
As are as the room is concerned.. the place was immaculate when we arrived, and each afternoon, when we got back from the beach, the staff made the room look just as awesome.. The Mainsail's rooms were always what we needed and have never had a complaint in our seven years there..
A note about the owners...During our stay, the owners held a mass ice bucket challenge, which I'm sure you know, was to help raise money and awareness for ALS.. they said they would donate $10 per person who did the challenge..in the end, they made a donation of about $1000.. how cool is that?
In July , we welcomed our second daughter.. we are looking to upgrade to a cottage next year and every year going forward..we are extremely excited to potentially rent a cottage and are even more excited about the changes being made to the cottages.. my family and I are looking forward to creating many memories over many years at the Mainsail
