I stayed at this hotel which is a 15 minute drive from Kittery and close to Maine beaches with my Large breed dog.
The staff was friendly and helpful and I got a main floor room just around the corner from a side door with access to the outside which was great with the dog. The room VERY nice...clean, modern, and well furnished including a flat screen wall mounted TV. The breakfast room is airy and bright with a 20ft ceiling. Great choice for breakfast( included)...mufffins, danish, eggs, sausage, bacon, juice and plenty of coffee. The whole hotel and grounds were well maintained and modern. It was a great place to stay even when most of our time was spent in Maine......Kennebunk and Freeport and Kittery were very easy to drive to.

Stayed here before but will not again. Great location in Durham for UNH visits BUT window air conditioner was LOUD and not automatically adjustable. Ruined our nights sleep. Maid did not remove trash from room either. Front desk though was very helpful but I'll stay in Portsmouth from here on.

I spent a night at this hotel. The room was very clean and the staff friendly. Since it was low season the price was very reasonable. A cold small breakfast was included: bagels, toast, cereal, etc.

I have been staying at this HIE approx. every other month, since it opened. We love and have always enjoyed our stay. The hotel staff is exceptional!!!! The breakfast is quite adequate, but if you want to walk a short distance into Durham to go to the Bagelry it is nice option. We are so happy that we discovered this Inn. Of course, the rates do go up at times for parent’s wkend, graduation and other such events but so do all the other accommodations in the area. Andrew the general manager is warm and attentive!!!!! We just hope that by letting the secret out we won't lose our room.
