We did a get up and go kinda trip....whatever happens...happens....We stopped at the River Palms.....are you kidding...$19 a night...come on....how can you complain...and it has a Denny's....YUM! The Keno however...would be great if it paid out more. Thanks River Palms Staff, no issues for us.
Oh and no resort fee....19 is 19!!!!

Waiting til the last minute to book a hotel room is never a good idea but I found a great deal on the Internet for the River Palms! I even upgraded to a river view for $10 more & the view of the mighty Colorado & Bullhead City was wonderful, especially with the full moon (except for the windows being so dirty). Our room was huge with 2 full-size (not queen) beds but it was very very dated in furnishings & the bathroom. If you're looking for a flat-screen TV & more than 10 channels, this is not the place to stay! The bedding/mattresses had been updated & were very comfortable. Our room was right off the main hallway & we were pleasantly surprised - no noise. We ate in their nice restaurant, The Lodge - the food was very good & John, our waiter, did a great job. They had a special, twin lobster tails, nice size, for $19.99! My husband had the lobster & i ordered a steak - we split & each had surf'n'turf. In our opinion, their wines were way over-priced, having belonged to muliple wine clubs in Calif + we now have a great winery in No. Nevada (Tahoe Ridge Winery) so we know fair restaurant prices (these were not,)

Very good 5 day rate from Kayak website. Don't believe any negative reviews - this was a good experience. 18th floor room (mountain view) spacious, comfortable bed, good storage space, decent bathroom (only snag - temperamental hairdryer). Small older TV though. Room cleaning very thorough.

River Island dinner buffet good value (non gourmet but only Caesars, Bellagio, Ballys really are). Decent main course selections. Staff helpful and unobtrusive. External pool/jacuzzi a bonus - really fine for sun seekers. Bar prices slightly higher than competition and limited specials for Sunday football games. Dealers friendly. Laughlin Bureau of Tourism very helpful for area attractions (Christmas Tree pass worth the short drive).

Now that major road works in Casino Drive have finally been completed access to this property much improved.

what a great place laughlin its a small vegas we stayed in the river palms hotel and went to the bingo there staff was great only won a small amount, the rooms where basic no shampoo or wash as we forgot ours we stayed for 3 nights had a good deal on the room price only $35 for two people as it was there winter the area was quite so not that much going on the river was a welcome site bet its busy in summer there was a few boat trips still operating overall brill place and would go back iits only 90 mins from vegas by car and a simple route
