Returned to Vegas Oct 2011 to celebrate our 1st Anniversary (actually got married in Vegas last year). It was our first time staying at The Mirage and what a week it was, we didn't want to leave. The Hotel is located in the heart of The Strip so easy walking distance to most attractions ie Bellagio Fountains, Ceasars Palace, Pirate Show at Treasure Island etc. Check in was quick & we were greeted by a lovely young lady, very friendly & helpful. When we were asked about our visit to Vegas I mentioned only "once" we were on our Anniversary. We were immediately offered a complimentary upgrade & found ourselves on the 24th floor with a fabulous room overlooking the Strip with a birds-eye view of The Volcano attraction. (There are also separate lifts that only go straight up these floors, so no waiting around) The room was very spacious & spotless, the Queensize bed had the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on, wish I could have brought it home with me! large flatscreen TV on the wall, fully stocked fridge, I-pod/phone docking station, Safe & the bathroom had the wow factor, separate shower cubicle, Twin sinks & a jet bath (just what you need after a long day walking The Strip!) We arrived on a Monday with our actual Anniversary being on the Wednesday (which I don't remember mentioning to the lady on check-in), however, when we returned to our room late Wed afternoon after spending the day at The Hoover Dam, we were surprised to find a bottle of Champagne on ice waiting for us, what a lovely gesture. The staff & housekeeping were so helpful, the room was cleaned every day & was left immaculate.
There are plenty of restaurants within the hotel and would recommend an evening at BB Kings, the food was great & the live singing (Soul, Rhythm & Blues on the night we went) was fantastic, the Buffet was also good. Would highly recommend finding time to sit by the pool & relax, unfortunately, we only made it out to the pool area on our last day which was a shame as had a fab time. Lastly would say if you like The Beatles then make time to see Cirque Du Soleil Love, it's a must. This was only my 2nd trip to Vegas but I have fallen in love with the place! we will definitely be staying at The Mirage on our next Trip.
