“A truly great experience”

My sister and I stayed at the Venetian for 3 nights during "Winter in Venice". We stayed in a suite in the Venezia Tower. The room was just as impressive as the photos. It was super clean and sparkly. We both had our own queen size beds that were so comfortable that we did not want to get out of them. We were given complimentary robes and slippers for use while we were there. There are two sinks in the bathroom with a separate shower and tub and having the toilet tucked away in its own little room was a great plus. There were two flat screen tv's in the room which prevented us from fighting as we do not watch the same things on tv and having a separate sitting area came in very handy as well. We had a room on the 10th floor with a fabulous view that faced the pool/courtyard/strip.

The hotel is at an ideal location on the strip and there is a bus stop outside. There is a little food court located in the hotel as well where you can have affordable meals. It's not very easy to find but once you stumble upon it like we did you will be very happy. There is also a Denny's and a few other restaurants on the outside for persons who do not want to eat inside the hotel. If you need a pharmacy, there is one two minutes walk away and the fashion show mall is like a 3 minutes walk from the hotel. There is great shopping and entertainment at the hotel and persons staying at the hotel get a percentage off of the shows at the hotel. If you get a chance, go see the Blue Man group. It is very different but fun and enlightening!

We would definitely return to the Venetian again. Everything was great from beginning to end. The only downside: if you are not very good with directions or get lost easily or plan on being very intoxicated, ask for a room that can be easily found. The hotel is huge and we had to take two different elevators to get to our room. If you do not pay keen attention to where you are going it is very easy to get confused and it can take a very long time to get to your room!

“Good Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

When I made the reservation it was for the Palazzo but when I checked-in they had no smoking rooms in Palazzo but had availability in the Venetian. I was told they would try to get me a room in the Palazzo from the next day. We made the long walk from Palazzo reception to the Venetian guest suites (luggage would be brought over later). The rooms at the Venetian were very similar to the Palazzo and we ended up staying the one night. See my other review for Palazzo

Room - Very nice, looks very modern and very spacious with seperate sitting area. The bed was very comfortable and the remote control for the drapes was cool. In total there were three flat screen TV's (32" in the sitting/bed area and a small one in the bathroom). Bathroom was nice with two sinks and seperate glass enclosed shower (could do with more water pressure). There was also a seperate vanity unit with hair dryer.

View - Looking down we had a view of the swimming pool areas but straight ahead was nothing special.

Casino - Really enjoyed spending time in the casino as it was very spacious.

Restaurant - We went to Bouchon for breakfast and it was nice but I prefered the Grand Lux Cafe (odered from menu not buffet).

Nightlife - We went to Tao nightclub for the evening and it was very nice and the music was great, dance floor gets very busy.

Location - If you go out through the travelators at the main front enterance then the main strip can be reached very quickly

Swimming pools - we didnt take advantage of the pools but they did look very nice

Ambience - Out of the two properties I prefered the ambience of the Palazzo, a little quieter and just seemed a bit plusher.

Over all we really enjoyed our one night at Venetian but we were just a little bit happier at Palazzo

“Humongous Rooms, Humongous Bill!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

My husband and I stayed at the Venetian on our 'babymoon' in May 2011. I was 6.5 months pregnant at the time, which definitely changes the 'Vegas Experience' but we still had a fantastic time. I had been to Vegas twice before and stayed at this hotel once so knew what to expect but this was my husband's first trip. I'll break down the big categories:

Rooms: The rooms here are fabulous. Best suites I've stayed in in Vegas, and frankly this is one of the best rooms I've ever had in all of my travels. The beds are amazing, the bathrooms are the size of small apartments and the living area is huge. It was a great size for us to spread out and get some quality sleep and relaxation in.

Entertainment: There is a neverending list of things to do in Vegas and the Venetian is perfectly located along the strip for access to everything. We headed out every day for a new activity and felt like we always got some good exercise in each day when checking out different casinos and attractions.

REstaurants: Hands-down, my favorite place to dine is Bouchon at the Venetian. The champagne brunch was fabulous and we had lunch there another day. The food is expensive, but everything is at this hotel so we at least felt like we were getting quality for the money. Here's our review of other places on site:

Mario Batali's Enoteca Otto is the biggest rip-off. the food was terrible and the food incredibly overpriced. My husband had some veal meatballs that the waitress was 'raving' about - 4 small meatballs and some spaghetti (which she charged extra for) for like $25. I had a mediocre pizza for $20. Terrible

Trattoria Reggiano - This was even WORSE than Enoteca Otto, if you can believe it. I had a chicken panini that was literally chicken on bread with a tomato - no dressings. I complained that it was a bit dry and the waitress snipped, well it's chicken. Thanks. My husband had another mediocre pasta dish and we left for the airport still pretty hungry. The only positive was that it was about 30% cheaper.

Delmonico - Emeril Lagasse's place is surprisingly really good! I had meals here on a previous trip and it's consistently reliable good food. Great spice, interesting combinations, and a decent value for this hotel.

Bouchon Bakery - Amazing! Everything was fantastic, even my $6 yogurts in the morning. Highly recommend the giant macaroons.

Canyon Ranch Grill - I ate here after some gym workouts and felt it was overrated and overpriced. $10 for oatmeal and a coffee; not impressed and felt like I was still eating in the gym with some leftover magazines. It's a weird location - perhaps good for grabbing a coffee or smoothie on the run, but I wouldn't actually sit here for a meal again.

want to vegas stayed at the venetian, all was excellent, but when it came time to check out, the said we consumed 100.00 dollard worth of product from the mini bar fridge, which we never touched, as we were warned about this before we went and by the front dest lady as we checked in, so we stayed clear of it. any way they say they will check with the maids and get back to us, we had to leave for home (canada). got home and a few days later they had still billed us the 100.00 dollars for the product we never touched, biggest rip off ever, all travellers beware of this scam at this hotel

Loved the canal access. Loved the huge rooms and bathrooms. Loved the gas lights. Many thousands of guest but felt very personal. Great restaurant assortment. Great entertainment between casino gaming. Vegas has a wide assortment of choices of luxury facilities but this is really one of the best.
