“Great Honeymoon at MGM”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2009

The front foyer is beautiful and the check in was a breeze! Very professional!
We upgraded our room and although we did not have the greatest view, we had a beautiful room! The huge king bed with a seperate sitting area and marbel bathroom was awesome! We had breakfast in bed which is pricey (about $70), it was good but I wouldnt recommend it for the price.
The only downfall to this hotel for me was how long it took to get from one end to the other and you could get lost!! But there is Wolfgang Puck's, Club 54, the lion sanction is kinda neat..kinda on the fence about if that's right or not?! Everything about the hotel was great! The pool is awesome!
The only bad part about my trip was I left behind a pearl necklace and didn't realize it until too late :(

“OK...not the worst, not the best.”

We stayed in the west wing for 4 nights. On arrival we told the man on check in it was our honeymoon - he wasnt interested (bearing in mind every other hotel we stayed in on our honeymoon gave us Champers and usually an upgrade). I guess in the MASSIVE hotel you are just one of many!

The room decor was nice, but the bathroom/toilet door hinge was broken and slammed shut everytime. The actual hotel was so busy, crowds of drunken people everywhere (and we are 25 but it was too much for us!) and the pools were so busy we didnt even bother stopping around them - it wasnt the most relaxing of places!

The restaurants were great - we ate at Pearl and Fiamma - would defo recommnd them.
Make sure you explore the other hotels, Vegas and the surrounding areas. Its worth flying over the grand canyon and seeing the hoover dam.

We got tickets for KA - i would recommend this. It was absolutely amazing!
Parking is free and there is loads of room on the car park, but they charge $15 for internet - very cheeky!

Overall the MGM is a good base for Vegas. If you're in a group of girls or lads you will love it, but for couples its ok. I have ticked yes for recommend to a friend - but it would depend on which friend it was.

we stayed 2 nights but loved the MGM! Great staff, room was ready when we arrived at 11:30am, fantastic bed didn't want to get up!! Hotel is clean, big and beautiful! If you stay there no need to walk your legs off on the strip the MGM Hotel has it all. We enjoyed the Crazy Horse Show as well, great for couples, very small stage and seats are close. Food was good, prices are high!!! Go to dinner at the Eifel Tower over at Paris for a first class $$$$$ Meal the view is worth every $$$ and the service and food were excellent!! We would stay here again & again.

“Great place: Great bargain”

We have visited many hotel casinos over the years and for Summer visists the MGM can't be beat. The pool complex if varied and fun. On our most recent visit we had no problem finding sahede spots by the laay river pool every day. We always got there within an hour of opening, but there were still sapces available when we would leave at around 2:00PM. The cleaning staff did clean the vacated rooms first to make them ready for new guest. We asked the staff to clean our room when we left for the pooland did not have a problem after we started doing that.
The only restraunts we visited on property were the buffet and the Deli, but found both more than acceptable. WE have seen the Ka show here and have used the box office to book other shows and have never had a problem. I am not a high roller so i do not expect to be treated like one, but I feel that I am treated as a valued guest every time I visit. The only reason we stay at other properties during other seasons is to accomadate friends traveling with us at those times. If it were our choice the MGM would get our business every time.

“Massive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2009

I know this is stating the obvious but this hotel is MASSIVE! We were there for 3 nights, and only discovered the multiple swimming pools on our last day! The room was fine, a little bit shabby around the edges. Also the hotel is positioned right at the end of the strip, so to get to the Bellagio, Paris or Venetian you have to walk through all the people selling you stuff from Helicopter rides to prostitutes.

Although the room was cheap (compared to any other hotels we stayed in in the states), they get their money from you in other ways! No fridge in the room, no coffee machine. There is a vending machine on each floor charging $3 for a Coke. And the cost of Wi-Fi!? Are they having a laugh? We stayed in all sorts of little independent places on our travels and wi-fi pretty much came as standard...not in Vegas! The restaurants in the hotel are all pretty pricey. You think you're doing OK by ordering a burger, and then see how much the fries cost as a side! Having said that, if you want cheap eats, it does have a food court type thing (MacDonalds, Chinese, sandwiches etc) but being the muppets we are, we didnt' discover it until our last day! Doh!

There is a very good reason to stay at the MGM .... The Cirque du Soleil show Ka is AMAZING and you get 40% off if you stay at the hotel. It really was amazing. I am sure it is the same story at any of the other hotels with a decent show, but Ka is a must see!

Also, wasn't very happy about the lions. I know they don't live in there or anything, but it just felt a bit urgh. Don't know why, sure they're very happy, but I am not a big fan of zoos any way.

As far as the casino is concerned....remember nobody leaves Vegas a winner baby! The MGM Casion is massive, and a good laugh. The bars are all over-priced! But sit at a machine or a table for long enough and you'll get given a drink.
