I've been to Vegas over 30+ times for business and prefer to be off the strip. I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in a quiet area to work. This property is older and has had a fresh coat of paint slapped on it. Fundamentally it's still an old property and has not received the LaQuinta upgrades I’ve seen elsewhere. The King room was good size, the furniture is cheap and chipped/cracked missing parts. The bed was OK, pillows were horrible. The property in conveniently located less than a 1/2 mile from X way. There is road noise, but not too much. wireless access worked fine. Breakfast was average, with limited choices. I didn't use the pool. OK place if you can get a good price.

We were just passing through and wanted to spend a couple days in Vegas. We were traveling with our dog and needed a pet friendly place to stay. This fit the bill. It was only about three blocks from the strip and quiet. The neighborhood seemed iffy but we spent very little time there, it didn't matter.The building seemed safe. The staff was nice but there was not a place on the property for the dog to do business. It was all gravel and sand. We had to walk her across the street. It would be nice if a place is Pet friendly to provide some area for the dogs and maybe a trash can to make clean up easier. It certainly wasn't like a room on the strip but it was clean and quiet. and we could take our pet. I didn't get up to have breakfast so I have no idea what that would be like. The computer in the lobby was nice to keep in touch while on the road.

I should have figured it out the first morning, when I woke up so dizzy I could barely walk, but it took a doctor's exam back in Los Angeles to verify that I had pesticide poisoning from whatever they sprayed in in my room. And the joke is, I went there to avoid the smokiness of the casino hotels. So far I have been waiting 6 days for a human response from their website customer service, which promises 3-4 buisness days for a response.

I often stay at pet friendly hotels like this one but my gosh, 0 out of 4 vending machines worked. They sent me out in the freezing cold just to get something to drink! Asked for a water which they had behind the front desk, they said no- that they were for VIPs. Come on, VIPs at the La Quinta?? Jacuzzi was broken too! What a crappy stay!
