“Good price, great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 December 2011

I remember this place from when it had been the Barbary Coast, and I called for a room on a Tuesday when passing through Las Vegas. The reason is the location in the middle of the strip, across from Caesar's and near the City Center.

As a walk in a got a room for under $40 (with tax). I went across the street to see the new restaurants at the Forum shops, bought a cigar at the new Fuente store, and walked through the City Center complex.

Then I went back to Bill's and played blackjack. Bill's is small by Las Vegas standards, but fun. Yes, the casino is a bit smoky, but even on a Tuesday night it was alive. There are a couple of good restaurants and a late night club there, and for a quick trip it is great!

If you are looking for luxury, spa,... then this is the wrong place. For location, value, and low key, then Bill's is a great choice.

“Bargain hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 December 2011

We usually stay at Bill's when visiting Las Vegas because it has decent rooms for a reasonable price in the best possible location. We were there again for 11 nights in late December and early November. Normally we stay in one of the classic rooms but this time we opted for a luxury room, which cost an extra $20 per night. As far as I could tell, the luxury rooms are the same as the classic rooms except that they have a great view of the Bellagio fountains and the Strip. We felt that the view was well worth the additional cost but, if the view is not important or if you are on a tight budget, then the classic rooms are a better bet. The other consideration is that along with the view there comes noise from the street. The biggest problem is the sirens of emergency vehicles. This kept me awake for the first night but after that I slept fine. If you are a light sleeper or bothered by noise you might be better off forgetting the view and taking a classic room facing the wall of the Flamingo. Those rooms are nice and quiet. Noise from the casino below is not an issue even on the first floor as there are couple of floors of parking in between.

Bill's is not fancy or ultra cool but it is a nice surviving bit of old Vegas. The rooms are pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful, the casino is nice except when it gets crowded, and the cocktail waitresses keep you well supplied with drinks while gambling. The carpeting in the hallways could do with upgrading but, other than that, everything is in good shape.

“Basic and cheap - stay for the location!”

We stayed here for 4 nights in Dec. Hotel is quite basic (no fridge or anything like that) but we only used it for sleeping.

Location is excellent, right in the middle of the strip.

Our room overlooked the Bellagio fountain which was cool

Room Tip: Try tipping front desk for an upgrade...

“If the price is right - great hotel!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 December 2011

I love the location of this hotel. This section of the strip is my favourite - close to Bellagio/Bally's/Paris/Flamingo. Plus nice and close to my fav place - Margaritaville :)

The room was clean and well stocked: towels, pens etc. It had 2 double beds, and small bathroom. The room was basic and a little worn but perfectly fine for the price and location. We didn't need luxury nor intended on spending a whole heap of time in the room - sleeping only!

I think you can use the pool at the Flamingo but we didn't investigate this. Nor did we have a car. I also missed Big Elvis....

I also like the Casino. Is smaller and has fun tables. I don't like how smoky it gets.

I think this is a great little hotel IF you can get it at a great price.

“Awesome Location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 December 2011

Just got back from a 4 day stay at Bill's. I am a first time to Vegas traveller and Bill's left me wanting to go back.! We stayed in a suite and it was very big. The service at the front desk was great. This is a "No Frill's" hotel and if your looking for a friendly, fun atmosphere this is the place. Room's do need a bit of updating but they have everything you need at a quarter of the cost of other hotels. I do agree with the "working girl" comment below, but I did feel that the hotel staff took control of the situation as the morning crowd of guests started to come in. I will definatly stay at Bill's again as will the couple that was with us.

Room Tip: Be sure to ask for a room facing Bally's.
