“Vacation”

Very nice Hotel away from the strip, no gambling on site. Place was quiet and our room was spotless. We were surprised at how much room we had. The room with 2 Queen beds had plenty of extra space for wrestling with my Daughter. Separate LR/BR is great if you have a family. Room had a full size Frig, Micro and even a Stove. Plates and Silverware and 2 flat screens help make this a Gemm of a Hotel.
The front desk staff were always pleasant and helpful and the housekeeping staff were exceptional.
Breakfast was very convenient and we were pleased with the variety and it was always warm and well stocked.

“Excellent!”

We stayed here in late December for one night. Had I known it would have met our needs and been such great value I would have stayed longer.
We thought it was a great place with kids as quiet with no casinos and ideal for stlll getting into the strip with free shuttle bus to Mandalay Bay.
The rooms are lovely, really clean and look recently refurbished. We didn't use the pool or hot tub or gym but all looked good.
Breakfast was included and there was complimentary dinner. It was salad with a chicken burger. As I said, great value overall.
If I was going to Vegas again with kids I'd stay here over a hotel on the strip.
The service was excellent and friendly.

“Loved our stay at this hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

I went to this hotel with my family during New Year's eve time and the stay was great.

They provided Dinner one evening (that we know of) and was pretty decent. Their Breakfast was so busy due to hotel being full but the staff were great at refilling all the items as soon as they can. Kudos to them.

Rooms and hotel were very clean. Location was great, not close to the strip but if you have a car it is only about 1.5 miles or so to the strip. You can get onto 215 in less than 2 minutes and is 5 min to the Airport.

The best part I liked -- We wanted to go to New Year's eve but the strip will be closed for vehicles and hotels won't let you park cars if you are not a guest on the strip hotel. What do we do, pay $30 for off strip parking places (that sprang up the same day) or stay in the room. I called the hotel and they said we will drop you and pick you up all night in a parking lot at the end of the strip. Voila, we enjoyed it and had someone drive us home (ok, hotel) after we partied on the strip until 2 AM.

Couple of things I didn't like -- Wireless internet was very slow at 10kbps and when I explained this to the front desk he said 'wow, that is really slow' but didn't do anything about it. They installed some software to control tracking and have good experience for their computer users. Uniguest program was blocking every page we tried to look for shows available tonight. I explained this to him and he was like 'I will let them know' but didn't move an inch. I guess customer service wasn't his thing:)

I would recommend this place anytime. Thank You.

“Convenient Last Minute Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 January 2012

Due to unexpected circumstances, we were forced to find a hotel in Las Vegas on New Years Eve. Not easy to do and not inexpensive either. But I found this Homewood Suites, that was convenient to the airport for our early flight, and available. From staying in others of the chain for business, I knew what to expect. The shuttle ran ontime, every hour to the airport and on every half hour to the Mandalay Bay. Very quiet as I never heard another guest or an airplane from the nearby airport. Since we were there on the weekend, didn't get to try the evening snacks or even the morning breakfast, since it didn't start until 7am. Staff was friendly and helpful and the shuttle driver was friendly too (yes he is from Hawaii).

“excellent stay for the business traveler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

I stayed here recently while in LV for some meetings. As others have noted, it's very close to the airport, but far enough from the runway that you are largely shielded from the jet noise. It's about a block from the car rental facility and no more than 5 minutes from the strip. The other guests largely appeared to be in Vegas on business as well.

I was fortunate to have a very nice, large suite with a comfy bed, HD TV, and dining area. The staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were clean, and having a kitchen stocked with plates, and a fridge was a nice bonus. The complimentary breakfast was pretty good (save for the very burnt egg & cheese omelets they served one morning. The dinners looked OK as well (though I typically went out to eat).

I do have a few very very minor nits - the in-room heating unit at the base of the window was loud, as are all systems of this type and the wireless Internet was very very slow in the evenings when presumably everyone was using it. I also only had one phone in my 2BR suite. Other than that, I can't really complain. I would definitely stay here again the next time I'm in town on business and wanting to avoid the strip.
