Rooms at Palazzo, Venetian resort are bigger than majority of rooms U have seen before (standard room means suite there...). However, service provided can be a bit chaotic - it happened I had to call several times before getting helped with my room phone, package delivered etc. I can say as I have been staying in this place about 14 times already... On the other hand, rooms are really nicely equipped, I appreciate working station with printer, fax, copy machine in price, nice TV sets, DVD player and bed... Concierge access (now called Prestige at Palazzo) upgrade is worth considering if there is two of you using the room, planning to use Internet, visit Concierge for breakfast buffet and couple of drinks and snacks in the early evening... It is definitely worth considering if you have 160-300 to spent a night...

We stayed at the Palazzo Jan 27 - Jan 29 after having booked this hotel using a top secret hotel deal through Travelocity. Got a great rate for the weekend using this method by searching for five star properties...was pretty sure it would be either the Palazzo or the Venetian which are sister properties. The deal with booking it this way is you have to pay in advance, the reservation cannot be changed or cancelled and you don't know what property you get until after you have prepaid. They still charge the resort fee of $20 for each night which is payable when you check-out. Not a big fan of the resort fee...basically covers internet access which was handy for getting our boarding passes which you can print right in your room and covers access to the fitness center (not the spa), and supposedly a newspaper which we never saw.
I have to say the best part of our stay at the Palazzo was TAO nightclub. There is a separate line for hotel guests which allowed us to by-pass a huge line of people waiting to get in. The club has plenty of private sitting areas that can be reserved for your group. Great music and lots of dancing. This is definitely the place to be.
Check-in: We arrived early in the morning about 10:30 a.m. and I fully expected that we would have to wait for our room to be ready and have the hotel store our luggage. I was pleasantly surprised that our room was available at that time and we didn't have to wait. The line was short, we waited only a couple of minutes for the next available clerk. However, when we asked if there were any upgrades available the clerk gave a little attitude by saying that nothing was available and something about the fact that they have over 7000 hotel rooms and all are nice. I would have liked to upgrade to the prestige level but weren't even given the opportunity. We were given a couple vouchers
Room: These are huge rooms and nicely laid out. Our room was on the 34th floor with a view overlooking the Wynn, golf course, pools and mountains. Room was in excellent condition, clean and very spacious. We had a very comfy king bed, with the sunken living area. The bathroom was very spacious with double sinks, a separate make-up/vanity area, separate shower and big soaking tub, and toilet in it's only little room. We called housekeeping to get extra towels and toiletries and they were delivered within minutes. Housekeeping staff was very friendly and attentive and showed up early the next day to clean the room so we didn't have to wait all day like I've read in other reviews. We didn't touch anything in the fully stocked refrigerator or on the bar but there is plenty to choose from if you desire, just expensive. Wish there was a little room in there to store your own items or a separate refrigerator. Used the in room safe which is spacious enough to hold a laptop and even has an electrical socket so you can plug your devices in to charge while in the safe. There are three televisions in the room, one in the living area, one above the bed area and one in the bathroom. I also really liked having our own copier/printer/fax machine in our room. The draperies/shades for the window are nice because they are remote control operated so you don't have to go over to adjust them.
Check-out: We did call to ask for a late check-out because we could have gone directly from the hotel to the airport but was told that was not possible. Went down to check-out which was fairly quick and had the hotel store our luggage. With the exception of the clerk at check-in, all the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional. We spent our remaining time walking through the hotel which is very beautiful into the grand canal shops at the Venetian which is a definite must see.
I did go to the Canyon Ranch Spa while at the hotel which is definitely worth it. Great place to take a break from all the walking on the Strip and the smoke of the casinos.

The Palazzo is a great place to stay. The rooms are outstanding. I stayed in a Strip View room looking out at Treasure Island. You could watch the show from our window. The location of this hotel is perfect if you are wanting a place to stay that is close to the convention center but also close to great shopping and food. This was a business and pleasure trip. I was there for a convention but it was also my wedding anniversary. I would definitely stay here again.

This was our first time staying at The Palazzo. A few months ago we stayed at the Venetian and The Palazzo rooms were definitely nicer and cleaner. The Venetian really needs to refresh their suites!

The check-in went smoothly and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. She upgraded our room to the King Luxury Suite with a view of the strip. The rooms are a good size with a beautiful living room area. The sleeping area was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The bathrooms were also a good size and included a make-up vanity area and also a TV. The toilet area was in its own individual room.

The casino itself was nice and big with a lot of slot machines to choose from. The only downside is, I found the casino very smokey. I usually stay at the Encore but have never noticed it being smokey there.

We ate at Carnevino the first night we were there. Beautiful restaurant and the food was very good. It was a bit pricey but the portions were very large. We also ate at the Grand Lux Cafe for breakfast. We had the buffet and the selection was very good. I've eaten there many times and have never had a complaint....great food and reasonable prices!

Overall, I liked the hotel! The service was great, rooms were beautiful and the staff were very friendly. The only downside was the smokey casino. They need better ventilation or maybe designate more non-smoking areas.
