once again we stayed at this lovely resort for two weeks, we arrived on the 2nd september to the 16th september. My dad exchanged his RCI so we good stay, when we arrived on the friday at 11am we were checked in straight away which was excellent service , normaly you carnt check in till after 3pm, we always stay in the same building called iris on the 10 floor appartments 1a and 1b, we love staying here as it has its own lovely pool and hot tub and we also have a great view of the strip. Once we had sorted our selfs out we went shopping to the local walmart as this resort is self catering, but if you dont want to cook there is a lovely casino oppisite called the south point which has lovely buffet and resturants to eat at or about a few miles down the road there is another casino called the m. We love staying here as it is lovely and quiet, my dad always get a car so we can drive down the strip, park in any casino and go shopping or play in the casinos. Myself and my husband went to so a few shows while we were there and they were excellent, zuminity at new york new york, ka at mgm, also we went to the cannyon and walked on the skywalk which is out of this world to be walking so far out over the canyon. once again we had a lovely holiday and hope to be staying back again at the grandview next year which we are booking as soon as we can, so see you all again next year and thanks for a lovely holiday.xxxxxx

“Various Stays”

We've stayed at the Grandview several times over the past few years. Great accomodations, good price, the South Point casino next door is fabulous. The only downfall is the distance away from the strip. Who wants to rent a car and drive to the strip when you want to party? There is an hourly shuttle to three casino's on the strip, but the last run back to the Grandview starts at 1 AM .. early for Vegas. Taxis can cost up to $30 one way trip. There is also no pool bar ... and alcoholic beverages are not permitted. Also not allowed to use the in-room spa tub after 10 PM

Room Tip: Ask for a room in the Sage building, the pool is right there at the rear doors. If you stay in other...

We appreciate you taking the time to comment on your stay with us. We’re happy that you enjoy the accommodations at Grandview at Las Vegas Resort. Many of our guests prefer our location because they can take relax away from the hustle and bustle of Vegas, but access the strip easily by the provided shuttle service. Thank you again for posting and we hope to welcome you back to our resort on your next trip to Las Vegas.

“Room was great! Front desk was awful!”

We asked for a nonsmoking room, but the frontdesk sent us to a smoking tower! We went back to the front desk to get another room, because when I called from the room I was on hold forever. Second room was a different tower, but the room we got had not even been cleaned! This time when we called, we were transfered 4 times. Two people came to take us to our next room, across the hall. Yea, it was clean and smelled good. But guess what. The TV didn't work! They fixed that for us, and the rest of the stay was good. I won't go back again though. They never even offered to comp us for the issues.

“Fantastic with reservations”

Got a 2 bedroom with RCI points. Absolutely no hard sell which was greatly appreciated. What they consider a two bedroom is actually two complete one bedroom suites (with separate kitchens) with a common door. Was not happy at first but great once I saw it. Large complex with a lot of high floors so be careful if you do not like heights. Pool looked great, but I did not use it. Parking late at night was dark (had to use the parkades) but never did see anybody "scary" around the place. Place is listed as on-strip but is so far south that it really isn't - not a big deal since you can access I-15 very quickly, or just drive up the strip because are not that many lights. So in a way does not have the charm of an off strip place or an on strip place, but am looking forward to staying there again.

“I Loved It”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 September 2011

I exchanged my RCI week to stay here for the 1st time. I loved it. I had a 2 bedroom which was a little big for me and my hubby because my friends backed out, but I just used the 2nd bedroom and bathroom as my own private dressing room which was priceless. You can leave the doors to the two separate one bedroom condos open to make it feel even bigger than it already is. We stayed in the Jasmine building that didn't have the granite like the Daisy building but I swear its still beautiful and you wouldn't miss it. They have plenty of pools and hot tubs so its easy to find a quiet one. And no they don't have deep pools but I did not mind. The property itself is gorgeous. Plenty of parking and a garage for overflow but I never had to use it. I did do the little sales presentation and yes it was longer than promised, but I took a early morning tour so it did not bother me because I had the rest of the day to do whatever I wanted, besides I got $175 (in exchange for my $20 deposit) in spending in the SouthPoint casino for meals, spa, or bowling. Needless to say food in Vegas is rediculously high so that money was a big budget saver (note they come in $25 certificates and you don't get change so we just ordered extra to take back to the room, no sence in wasting money). So worth a few hours of hearing someone talk. So unless you are weak and vulnerable the sales pitch should not affect you. The food at Southpoint is more than reasonable especially at night when we came back from going out, the prices seemed unreal. $3.95 for steak and eggs. WOW. But back to Grandview, the execise facilties are spacious and had more equipment the the majority of other places I've seen. The cardio room and weight room is separate but it's only across the walk way. They have plenty of gas grills all ready to go. I didn't try the little deli food (why when I ate at Southpoint for free) but I did notice their grocery items were a little pricey but we had a rental car so we just went to the food 4 less and the Walmart which were close. I can go on forever but there is nothing bad to say about the place.
