“Fantastic view, awesome room, friendly staff.”

Recently stayed at the Paris, truly an enjoyable experience. At check in I had a deluxe room compted for 5 nites , so I thought I would try the $20 trick, to see if I could get an upgrade, when the clerk handed back my twenty I figured I was out of luck ,but instead she said lets see what we can can do. I told her I was in Vegas to get married and that my fiance had never been to Vegas before. Well she offered us the Calais suite on the 33rd floor for $80.00 a nite, which we took, when I checked the rates later that room as going for $470.00 a nite! The suite was fabulous. two baths ,wet bar etc., the view was the best in the hotel! Our entire stay at the Paris was exceptional, and thanks to our check in clerk, Shirlene, we will be coming back again!

“Loved the Martini Bar - Questionable Housekeeping and Front Desk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2010

I celebrated my 40th birthday at the Paris, with three friends (we had two rooms). We stayed for three nights, in June 2010.

Front Desk Check In (D)
Be prepared for a long wait when checking in (averaging over an hour). The fact that I was celebrating this milestone birthday had little effect, as the clerk merely mumbled 'happy birthday' and provided no upgrade.

Rooms (C+)
Standard room, with questionable cleanliness. The view was a joke. Looked onto the rooftop of another building. Forget about an upgrade. Large bathroom, with firm beds. Tired decor.

Housekeeping (C -)
Use the safe! I had one piece of jewellery 'go missing'. Dental floss and candy wrapper found on the floor. Dirty glasses sat in the corridor for the 3 days during our stay. One Paris staff member actually hit the glasses with a trolley, and instead of taking them away, simply re-positioned them.

Facilities (B)
Loved the martini bar, except for two of the cocktail waitresses. The evening waitress on June 6 was fabulous! The evening ladies on June 07 and 08 however, were rude and looked as though they disliked their jobs immensely. Perhaps I would be too, if I had to wear such skimpy outfits at 50. Check out the 2 for 1 martini specials. Long waits in the morning for coffee/croissant/pastry. Had dinner at the cafe, which was average. I am adverse to cigarette smoke and it wasn't that bad. Loved the Parisian theme.

Pool (C+)
Mediocre pool, that lacked an 'exotic' feel. There is ample shade - you just have to be prepared to move around the pool. To state the obvious - keep well hydrated (avoid the sugary boozy drinks). It was 110 F when we were there (even the locals said it was hot!) Poolside service was good. The pool is unexciting but certainly adequate. Ample loungers.

Location (A)
Fabulous location, across from the Bellagio and shopping and Miracle Mile Shopping. Bring COMFY shoes, as you will need it walking the strip.

Gambling
Seemed like hardly anyone was winning. No one in our group of four broke even, or came out a little ahead.

Would I stay again? Not likely. I would check out the Bellagio next time. Fine if you are looking for an average Las Vegas experience.

“Dissapointed”

I used to go to this hotel 8 years ago, it was top of the line, only a little small, but perfect, now the rooms are falling apart, the cleaning of the room is terrible, the maintenance of the room also. I went to the VIP room , the doors needed a restauration urgently. It is really dissaponting. The casino is very nice. The restaurantas are lowering their quality, and the prices getting up.

“a good hotel in a great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 August 2010

A family of four including 2 teenage girls. The paris hotel was a good themed hotel. entry to the hotel and casino area is impressive with the paris theme - eiffel tower, painted ceilings like open sky, themed street. the room was a family room 2 x double beds and was spacious and clean. we were on floor 20 at the back of the hotel. we were asked if we wanted a "strip" view but this was for an extra $55 per night. we didn't take them up on the offer as it wasn't worth it - you don't spend that amount of time in the room to enjoy the view!
we asked to extend our check out on the final day as we had a late filght and they agreed to extend for a few hours without extra cost (as most hotels do) and also store our bags until it was time to leave.
we only ate an evening meal once in the hotel at le provencal - this was at about 10 pm after seeing a show. we were not best pleased. the food was mediocre and the service was poor. the waiter seemed to be uninterested especially when i pointed out some plastic in my food no apology or explanantion etc. the price was as to be expected and more expensive than other strip restaurants.
the pool area was good and uncrowded. the pool was quite shallow approx 1 m deep so no diving jumping etc. it seemed sheltered and was a nice break to the busy days.
the location was really good right in the middle of the strip opposite the bellagio for the fountains. easy to walk south or north (although as everywhere it is longer than at first thought!!)
overall i would stay here again for the size of the room and its location.

“Great 30th Birthday!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 August 2010

After reading the reviews (good and Bad) I was very reluctant to stay in Paris. When we got there the staff were fantastic! The woman at the desk (Cheryl) was wonderful. I told her it was my 30th birthday and we got a great upgrade to the 27th floor in one of the newly renovated rooms....it was beautiful!

We did get the 24 hour pass...and ate breakfast there for the first morning..,it was ok. But going to the Ceasars palace breakfast the next day...choose paris...there is much more to choose from.

The pool was great...very crowded but plenty of spaces open and some shade too.

The only dissapointment was that there was no airport shuttle. And we all know how much cab rides can be!

Other than that I loved staying at Paris, and it made my 30th birthday one to remember!!!

PS even though there is not internet (unless you pay like 15 bucks for 24 hours) they do have great kiosks to print out your boarding passes and surf the internet....(you have to pay for it though)
