“Good value, good location”

My brother and I stayed here for three nights a couple of weeks ago. The rooms aren't anything to write home about, but they are clean and I thought the bed was comfortable. This was fine, since the only thing we did here was sleep. I'm a member of their rewards club and even though I don't gamble a lot we were able to stay a Friday, Saturday, Sunday night for just under $70 night. I thought this was pretty good for being in the middle to the strip. I felt we were close to everything we wanted from here being right across from Bellagio and Ceasar's and connected to Paris. We spent most of our time at Harrah's just down the way. With the piano bar and carnival court it was a pretty fun spot to hang out!

“Excellent Hotel Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 February 2012

We stayed here end of January, 2012. We arrived much too late to get a room in North Tower, so we spent first night in south tower. The next 3 days we moved to the North tower, and room was excellent, very large. Very clean with great view of the Bellagio fountains. What a view. The best thing about the rooms was we could not smell any smoke at all !!! The beds were fine, nice linens, towels, etc. We could not hear any street noise at all.

Bally's has the best bands that we love and many people were dancing and having a great time. We of course, were playing slots, close to the band so we could see and hear and enjoy. And we had the best cocktail waitress in Las Vegas,((Liz)) She was absolutely awesome, very pleasant and present. We really appreciated her, and tipped her well, as she is very deserving.

We have stayed at many hotels and visited many more, playing at all, and I must say some hotels have cocktail waitresses that really don't like their jobs. And some hotels where you hardly ever see a waitress.

We will definetly be back. All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. And the shops downstairs are varied and reasonable. We had a car and valet parking is the best.
We have absolutely nothing but praise for this gem of a hotel. Make sure to sign up for a rewards card and use it in every machine as you accumulate points for future promotions !

Room Tip: Rooms in North Tower are the best

“One of the better places to stay in Las Vegas”

We usually go out to Vegas twice a year. I was pleasantly surprised by Bally's. The room was large. The furnishings were new. And the view was good. The staff was excellent. The beds were comfortable. The location is central (although the parking garage isn't easily accessible from the street). I'll probably stay here again.

“Shabby”

After scoring a Travelzoo coupon for $59 a night we booked a 3 night getaway, we also felt we got lucky when an airline we never flew before “Spirit” had a sale. Spirit Airlines will require a separate review.

A coupon/groupon is only worth it when a customer feels they really received value for what they paid and our stay at Balleys was not the case.

The good, the ONLY good was Ballys location in the very middle of the strip.

The room was very large but all the furnishings where worn and shabby, no mini refrigerator, an iron but no ironing board, no coffee maker, a spongy soft, thin mattress, limited channels on an old school TV with poor reception and wifi for $15 per day. I would feel a lot better if I had paid $29 a night for the lack of amenities and comfort at this hotel but thinking back I have to say I would not return even at ½ the price I paid.

I you like the retro feel and I don’t mean in a good way, book a stay at Ballys but shoot for under $29 a night so you can at least say you got what you paid for.

I should have listened to my brother and brother-in-law.

Room Tip: If there is a good room at this place they are hiding it.

“Bally's Las Vegas”

My sister and I visited Las Vegas and stayed at Bally's. It has it's usual smoky casino and buffets. The room was clean and modern. The bathroom has marble topped counter and walls. There were plenty of fresh towels. The hotel is green. Linens aren't changed unless you ask for them. It would be nice if the room came with a coffeemaker. We stayed on the 23rd floor. Couldn't hear outside traffic which is nice. The room has a wall to wall, ceiling to ceiling picture window. The staff were friendly and helpful. Paris is connected to Bally's and it is a shopper's paradise. It has a free shuttle to Rio. Been to Rio once. Great buffet at Rio. Loved the duck. I'm not a smoker and the casino was a challenge. I avoided the smoking side of the casino (which is hard) and fed the video poker machine. I broke even. Wednesday evening Bally's had a band playing. I don't know the name of the group, but they played music from the 70's, 80's and 90's. I would return to Bally's.
