This was my second stay at the Trump and after staying in standard hotel rooms it is wonderful to walk through the doors into the huge Trump rooms.
The staff are always polite and helpful. I did have to wait 45 minutes to get my bags sent up to my room and 45-60 minutes for maintenance to attend when I discovered the stove wasn’t functional, which was quite disappointing. To be fair, the lobby was very busy when I arrived so the delay in luggage arrival is understandable.
From memory I stayed on the 36th floor last year, this year on the 25th in the exact same location in the hotel. Being lower certainly impacted on the train noise levels, where previously I found the train unobtrusive, this time around it woke me up every night (the 2:30am train driver sure does love blasting the horn). I had hoped to pay a little extra to upgrade to a strip view room on check in (I booked through Priceline so was unable to reserve a Strip View) but unfortunately this wasn’t offered, the hotel seemed to be at capacity. The beds in this hotel are the best I’ve ever slept on, thankfully getting back to sleep is no trouble.
I was happy to see that the Fashion Show Drive crosswalk has been moved to the front of the hotel, it is much more convenient and safer now than it was this time last year.
I would definitely return for another stay at the Trump, but would not stay in the same room or lower as this year.
