“Feel like Royality”

We stayed the weekend of Jan. 27,28 2012 and as prior stays here, loved it. Most it not all rooms get a small view of Lake Tahoe and the preferred rooms get a full view. They were out of king bed rooms and we settled with 2 doubles. Even with those, there is plenty of room. They have a small round table and 2 chairs near the window. Perfect to enjoy breakfast or wine and cheese at while over looking the pool and trees and mountains. The drapes are heavy and keep out the morning light before you want it. Dresser in the room has 3 deep drawers and the TV on top is a large flat screen.
Huge bathroom with tub/shower combo. Two sinks and a lot of towels, soaps and lotions. The coffee pot is kept in there too.
In the closet, which slides open, is a safe and long rod to hold all hang up clothing. The suitcase can be kept in there too.
Valet parking is free plus there is a large self parking lot next to the casino entrance.
The front desk has champagne for arriving guest. A paper upon request at your door in the morning and free internet in the room and business center.
There is one large heated pool and 2 very large hot tubs. A fire pit for night time cocktails or roasting marshmallows is usually on until 11ish, if not they said call the front desk and they will light it.
The casino is just off the elevators and offers a verity of machines and table games. If you want to get your drinky on, they have plenty of cocktail servers in the casino. It's not as bad losing if the free drinks are flowing. Be sure to tip a $1 or 2 each time she brings you a drink - you'll think you have a private cocktail server.
From the hotel to the Lone Eagle Restaurant is a 10 minute walk. It sits on Lake Tahoe with some breathtaking views. Dine there and treat yourself to an awesome meal.
There is also a cocktail lounge area and they offer appetizers which are tasty.

Room Tip: Room 827 has full pool/hot tub view. Mountains and a peak of Tahoe. Quite end of hall.

“3+ stars”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 February 2012

The resort has a prime location - just across the road from Lake Tahoe and the casino is nice and not too crowded. The rooms are just starting to show their age and indeed there is a major renovation scheduled for next summer.

The Lone Eagle Grill is a great restaurant and the views should be amazing- (we went at nite however and you really can't see the lake in the darkness).

They have an annual viewing of the fireworks on July 4th and this is really special. The room pricing during this period is also REALLY special- over $400 per nite.

Would recommend if you want the North Shore Lake Tahoe experience- not really driveable back and forth to the Nevada/California Lake Tahoe area.

We love the Hyatt anywhere we go, but the one in North Shore Tahoe is especially beautiful! We stayed on the Regency floor in a cozy room. We were greeted with a bottle of champagne and a decadent chocolate dessert. The Regency Club over looks the resort with a beautiful view of the mountains. In the morning they serve a complimentary full breakfast and in the evening they offer cocktails and hors d'oeuvres. The concierge is so helpful and the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well.

Room Tip: The Regency floor has very nice amenities.

“Aaaaaaamazing!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

First of all, thy have free valet parking (which we didn't use bc the night we got there, some event was going on and the line was long). When we got to the front desk, everyone was so friendly even though we had a priceline rate. She couldn't get us a king room so upgraded us to a beautiful balcony room w/ 2 queens. They then apologized, gave us each a glass of champagne and a s'mores kit.

Our room was clean and quite big. The grounds were beautiful as well. We even tried the buffet one night an it was delish. One of the servers - Lacy - was sooooo great to us (I realized later I screwed up her tip - so sorry lacy - will make it up to you the next time we are there). She flirted with our baby ( although I think he started it by smiling at her - god he loves attention) so we could eat in peace and she even let us take a couple pieces of dessert to our room for later since they were getting ready to close.

They also have a little arcade downstairs for kids (it was totally empty when we went in).

In the end, priceline rate or not, we will definitely return!!!

“Love coming here!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 January 2012

This place is great! My family and I stay here at least a couple times per year (winter and summer). You can always find good deals if your dates are flexible. The location is beautiful. In the summer, we rent bikes and ride along the lake. The beach is located on property and they also have a great pool and spa facility. The balcony rooms allow you to breathe in that fresh mountain air. The Lone Eagle Grill is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. During the winter, they have a beautiful, huge fireplace on With inside with seating, and mini-fires outside with seating. It's a quick drive to Mt Rose for skiing which is a great place for kids. I'm not a timeshare owner but I have been coming here a few times per year for the last 10 years.
