I checked reviews from TripAdvisor before i booked our - thankfully - one night stay in O'Neill on our way frather west. The front desk worker was very kind and friendly, and the hotel seemed to be good enough for us for one night. The hotel room was kind-of clean, the vacuuming could have been done better, as there were crumbs around the edges/corners and in/on a chair. The big issue we had was the bathroom, it may have been clean in the toilet area, but the shower was a stall only - and the smell of MOLD was more then I could stand. Needs to have a good bleaching, or possibly replace the shower b/c the smell was horrible - had to hold my breath just to use the bathroom. Fortuneatly, we didn't use the room long, just enough to sleep, and no one wanted to try to take a shower with that smell. If we kept the bathroom door shut (a pocket-style door) it kept the smell at bay, but i wouldn't go back to this place, even with the super cheap price. I guess you get what you pay for!
