As a regular business traveler I found this hotel to be way below standard in both customer service and amenities. I was here for a week and when I checked in the put me in a smoking room. I had my printed off confirmation which showed a non-smoking reservation. He said that was all they had left. I said I would go somewhere else he said he would still charge me the cancel fee. I asked for a manager he said he was one. I stayed. The room smelled like an ash tray. I went to the local walmart and bought a plugin, febreeze and a candle and then left the window open all night. It cut it by half. I never got a wake up call the first or second day. The second day of my stay I had to park at the Taco Bell next door because the parking lot was taken over by motorcycles. They allowed them to "tailgate" and hang out in the parking lot until the wee hours of the morning. I was not the only guest unhappy about that. The internet was not consistent and would not support high speed needs for email. I travel through Kearney on a regular basis and WILL NOT stay here again.

We stayed overnight at this hotel on a cross-country trip. It served our purpose - we got a good night's sleep before hitting the road again. The bed was fine and the room was as clean as you would expect an older property to be.

Breakfast was good and the female attendant was very nice.

On the way back home, we stayed at the Microtel in Kearney (because the Comfort Inn was full) and liked the Microtel much better. I think they're about the same price.

I must admit the Comfort Inn Kearney was not my first choice of hotel. There was a basketball tournament in town and most hotels/motels were already sold out. I was able to secure a room at the Comfort Inn Kearney.

When we arrived, the front desk staff was friendly and efficient. I was pleasantly surprised by the room. Everything appeared to be in good shape and the room was a decent size. I'm a bit particular about hotel/motel bathrooms and this one was very clean. It had a curved shower curtain and fluffy soft white towels. Often motels of this category have tattered, dingy, or worn towels. The pillows were soft and the bed was comfortable. I liked the fact that the vanity was separate from the bathroom. There was a coffee maker with coffee/tea which we utilized. They also had shampoo, lotion, and even a moistened makeup remover cloth. The room also had a blow dryer, iron, and ironing board.

We loved the location of our room as it was very quiet. I will admit we did hear the people in the room above us a couple of times, and could hear when there was water running but that's typical for this type of property. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend it as a lower cost alternative to the pricier Holiday Inn Express/Hampton Inn/Country Inn.

Stopped here on first night of roadtrip from WI to CA. Arrived around midnight. Stinky lobby and rooms. Toilet paper in room had not been refilled and was almost empty. Room arrangement strange with table and chairs in front of ac/heat unit... we rearranged to make more convenient. Breakfast make-your-own waffles fine. Eggs rubbery and potatoes cold - spoons for both were laying in the food rather than in serving containers outside the food. When I placed the spoons onto plates, the food attendant placed the spoons back into the food and tossed the plate. Yikes. Would not recommend, would not stay here again. On return trip stayed at Holiday Inn Express - Kearney and it was excellent.
