“Price gouging at it's best.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 February 2011

I booked a room for 2 nights for a weekend basketball tournament ($89.99 a night). I found out a week before the tournament that we only needed the room for 1 night (Saturday night). I called the weekend before and changed the reservation to one night. We got there to check in and they said we had cancelled our whole reservation....but they had a single bed room for $199. There was a line for people looking for rooms so my guess is that they gave our room to someone who was staying the full weekend at the inflated rate. Shady. Shady. Shady. Grrrrrr.

I apologize for the experience you had with our hotel. This is definately not the practice of the hotel and I assure you it was an honest mistake. I hope in the future you will give us another opportunity to serve your hotel needs.

“Spacious and comfortable”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 June 2010

We booked this hotel in advance for an overnight on our way out West from IL for summer vacation. We read reviews in advance and thought it sounded fine, though some people had complained about noise from adjoining rooms. We had no issue whatsoever with this hotel. The room was more spacious than any I normally have seen outside of luxury hotels! It was clean, the bathroom was clean and also quite spacious with the sink apart from the bath/toilet. The beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked well, the complimentary breakfast was good and plentiful. We liked it so much that we booked the same room for our return journey 2 weeks later. It's right next to a movie theater, so that even gave us some entertainment after we checked in. Restaurants are also nearby. In short, it was perfect for our purposes.

“Average hotel- good value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 May 2010

The hotel is right off the highway near plenty of places to eat.. The rooms are bigger than most, the beds are comfortable and each bed had at least 6 pillows. The decor is average and the bathroom was small. The rooms was very clean. Our room had a dorm refrig in it which was nice. The hotel has a pool which our children enjoyed. The breakfast included waffles, cereal, breakfast rolls, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, ect.

“Not bad, not great.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2009

Another business trip to Kearney. Why do they keep sending me to Kearney?!

Pros:
Good front desk staff
Right next to Carlos O Kelly's for dinner (Front desk has a $3 off coupon for you if you ask)
Clean room
Big rooms
Free wi-fi
Good coffee and juice

Cons:
Small indoor pool (entire first floor smells like chlorine)
Small fitness area
No character of any kind (plain, basic hotel room)
Small breakfast selection (but at least they have a selection)

I can never really complain when the business is paying...and, I would stay here over the Ramada anyday. But, I would probably stay at the Hampton Inn if I was paying for it (yes, it's worth the extra $25/night).
