We're from a small town about two hours away, and we stayed just one night for a weekend in Kearney. The main draw for us was the small water park, and our 2 and 4 year old kids were not disappointed. There are two larger slides for adults or older kids and there is a nice splash pool with two smaller slides. There is also an average sized hot tub that was very relaxing after climbing up the stairs to the slides several times with my kids. We were able to take our young kids down the green adult slide with them in our laps and they loved it. As other reviews said, don't go expecting a mega water park, but it's nice for younger kids.

As to the rooms (we got one with two full beds) here are the pros:
-Updated nice decor
-good tv selection
-microwave and refrigerator in good shape
-clean bedding, no stains

Cons- The only ones I can think of are:
- The beds are softer than my taste and they squeak a bit
-We found a mystery pill on the closet floor that I'm glad my kids didn't find and eat!
-Bathroom is small. You can barely open the door with enough clearance for the toilet

Overall, if we get a good enough price we will come back next year.

This is a nice hotel with a waterpark area on site. Don't go expecting one of those mega indoor parks popping up some many places nowadays though, this is a more moderately sized one. That said, it is ideal for a little bit younger kids. ( It can't be used for parties though, as food is completely prohibited.) I'm sure we will be back.

Cons: The biggest con we faced while we were there was the wi-fi availability in our room. We like to plan our trips from our room a little via the computer, but the signal was so poor that we couldn't get even one page to come up.

Nice Holiday Inn,staff very helpful,a little far from airport .

The Holiday features an indoor water park with 2-30ft slides and a little kids area with 2 small slides, an 8ft octopus to climb on and through, all in a nice shallow pool. The depth of the small kids area was perfect for my 3 year old. I didn't have to follow him around the whole time, I was able to sit on the edge of the pool and watch him as he played, and watch my 6 year old go down the big kid slides at the same time.

This is not a Vacation destination, but it is a very nice bonus if you are traveling through the area with kids. I was in the area for business and brought the family along. They loved it.

It is close to many places to eat, movie theaters, and grocery stores.
