This was a nice Super 8. The room was ready when we arrived and the staff was friendly. We were glad that the pool and hot tub were still open when we arrived after 9:00.

the only problem we had was the cricket problem in the pool. Apparently the area must have cricket problem. I had to fish out several dead crickets out of the hot tub before using and it wasn't that hot. But not all Super 8's have pools or hot tubs so we were fine with it. We choose this one because it was cheaper than the one in North Platte.

I hadn't stayed in a Super 8 in a few years, but from what I recall, this one seemed better than others I have stayed in as far as the room. Bed (king) was comfortable, room was spacious. Fairly basic amenities, WiFi worked fine, lots of TV channels.
The big issue was the very heavily used freight train line. I don't recall reading any Trip Advisor reviews mention all the train horns. Now, if you have to stay in Gothenburg, no other hotel will be further from the tracks, and they're not right by the hotel. But pretty loud for a light sleeper. Thankfully, the heater/AC was the kind where the fan runs continuously in heat, fan or AC mode, so there was decent white noise. And, though I'm not sure of this, it seemed as if the train horns were less loud between 10 pm and 6 am. But I was pretty much not able to sleep past 6 am.
Breakfast bar was below average, and check-in was perfunctory/gruff.

This was a particularly nice Super 8. Good location and has a nice pool and hot tub area that was recently remodeled. The problem we had was that we checked in and then was told our room wasn't ready yet, that it would be in about 15 minutes. This was at 6:00 p.m. So we went and had dinner and came back at 7:30 p.m. and it still was not cleaned yet. The cleaning person actually complained to us when we went to bring our luggage in that she had to much to do. Went back down to the hotel clerk and she complained about the cleaning person. Really bad customer service, to argue and complain in front of your customers. I asked for another room that was ready, since it was 7:30 p.m. and we had been on the road a long time and were very tired. She found another room that was ready and said it cost more but did not charge us more. At this point I would not have paid more. The room was nice and clean enough. Had a good night sleep and enjoyed the pool and hot tub. I have notified Super 8 of the staff problems we experienced here.

Required credit card imprint at registration on a pre-paid stay. Said would return imprint at departure. Refused, although there had been on other charges or issues. It's "Policy" to keep the open and signed imprint!
