I stayed at this motel on a trip with Road Scholar with my grand daughter. The motel was clean and comfortable. The pool gave the children on the trip the chance to have fun. The staff was friendly and helpful

Room tip: Rooms away from the pool are quieter.

The location is ok, walking distance to market for groceries, room is old, dark, and unpleasant. Pros: free wifi, free parking, free coffee machine, price is average. Cons: no hairdresser, lots of other hotels are within the same locations, not every room has kitchen.
Suggest call and compare price beforehand.

The rooms were clean and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel managing couple were very nice and helpful. The first room we had, the hot water in the shower was only lukewarm, but they moved us to another room the very next morning. There is not any breakfast offered and though they have a full kitchen with refrigerator for all guests to use, it smelled so bad that there is no way I would ever cook or eat in there. I would still stay there again though for the value and comfortable beds after hiking/running all day.

We stayed here in 2005 and loved it! It is clean and comfortable. Decorated with western theme, you'd think you were in Hoss Carwright's room! Loved being able to park right outside of door, makes for loading and un-loading so nice! ONE down fall, when we return, I'd say no to room #4! The rooms are no smoking, but #4 door is right next to where the smokers come to smoke. We could not leave our door or windows open! Bummed about that. But it will not stop us from returning, it was a live and learn thing!

We arrived late in the evening in West Yellowstone without prior reservations and encountered sticker shock and dwindling choices at the first 3-4 hotels we stopped at. Imagine our surprise when we encountered a friendly face at City Center who was willing to give us a "best price" that we could squeeze into our budget. The management was also willing to do what it took to help us find a room for our second night. Luckily, we were able to stay in the same room and not move. Our "economy" room was small, but very clean and quiet. One negative: we had to do some creative rearranging to plug in the coffeemaker. If West Yellowstone is your base for exploring the surrounding national parks, the City Center hotel is no-frills, but it is in a great location, with friendly staff, clean rooms with a "lodge" decor, and a much better price than the chains or most of the bigger "independent" hotels.

Room tip: Ask for second floor away from street.
