“What an amazing place!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2011

We stayed in two rooms at The Broadway Hotel and couldn't believe how much character it has. We were disappointed that our stay was only for one night. The lounge is charming, cosy and welcoming. The rooms are unique are fun, the beds are unbelievably comfy, and breakfast was delicious. Sue is a charming character herself - you can see her touch in the hotel. Philipsburg itself is well worth a visit - even if just for this hotel and the enormous old-fashioned candy store nearby. This visit was one of the highlights of our trip.

“We enjoyed our stay and plan on being back.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 August 2011

This is a specially decorated hotel, reflecting different rooms and themes. Being a very old hotel in a previously mining town, it's ambience is a pleasure to stay in.

“A Wonderful Welcome to a Beautiful Spot!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

For at least six years I have stayed at the Broadway for a week while I volunteer at a nearby summer camp. Believe me it has saved my sanity. The owner is gracious and welcoming and the accomodations are very comfortable. It is fun to visit with people from all over the country during the delicious breakfast each morning.

“A wonderful place to stay - again and again!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 August 2011

I highly recommend The Broadway Hotel in Philipsburg to anyone traveling to this quaint historic town or to anywhere in the surrounding area. The charm of this ‘painted lady’ begins with your first glimpse as you drive into town. The charm continues within: ‘themed’ rooms await every guest, and I was able to select my special room of interest with online booking prior to my arrival. Equally appealing is the spacious “Great Room,” which is very inviting with its location in the center of the hotel, used by guests for reading - Montana history, travel, nature, reference, etc. – and, tables for playing games or eating, a TV, computer, fireplace, etc. In short, it is well appointed with something for everyone. I’ve stayed in 100s of hotels and The Broadway Hotel has a refreshing uniqueness about it that I’ve not seen elsewhere. The gracious owner and hostess, Sue, makes sure that every guest is comfortable and enjoying their experience at the hotel. I heartily give this ‘painted lady’ a 5+ star rating!

Room Tip: Go online to view each themed room and select your favorite; the price is right.

“Great little inn, great little town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

Stopped in for a night at Philipsburg on July 4th, when driving enroute to Yellowstone. The 2 lane highway Philipsburg is off of, provides a relaxing alternate when travelling between Missoula and Butte.
We got to the hotel after 6pm so Sue had everything ready for our arrival with a note explaining how to let ourselves in. We loved our Britannia Suite that looked over the main street of the town. It was roomy, comfortable and just perfect for my husband, 12 year old son and I.
Since it was a holiday, things were pretty quiet (except for a few fireworks) but we enjoyed visiting a nearby ghost town and had a simple but enjoyable meal across the street at Doe Brothers (mainly due to Cody, our waiter who is a wonderful (and funny) young man working there for the summer).
It was great to see Sue in the morning and my hat is off to her for the beautiful job she has done with this hotel and for the beauty it adds to Philipsburg. The Broadway is a great place to hang your hat in a lovely town that allows you a glimpse into the past while still enjoying the conveniences of today.
A most pleasant and welcome respite!
