We arrived at Day's Inn on Christmas Day night around 10:30pm. Glendive is a small, quiet, rural town. There are three motels in this area, Super 8, Comfort Inn, and Day's Inn. As we unloaded the car it was hard not to notice the VERY NOISY bus idling in front of the neighboring Comfort Inn. We talked about it and hoped the driver would shut it down soon. Nope! Our assigned room was on the side of the building closest to Comfort Inn. We tried our hardest to get to sleep, but the racket was awful.
Long story short, we learned that buses are allowed to idle at Comfort Inn ALL night long, disturbing the sleep of all patrons in the three motels. Our Day's Inn kindly moved us to a room on the north side of the motel. The next morning we left at 9:00am and that bus was STILL idling noisily after 10 1/2 hours! Why? Think about the gas consumption!
The staff at the neighboring Comfort Inn is rude beyond comprehension. Give Day's Inn your dollars and be treated with respect.
