For a post-tax rate of $26 (as of Aug 2003) you get a fairly large room with TV, refrigerator, microwave and large stainless steel sink in addition to the bathroom sink. This would be a good place for someone who brings their own food.
The motel is not modern but it's as clean as you could expect from an older, quirky building. Glendive is very quiet and I slept better than I have in places three times as costly. Others may like more flash, but how well I sleep is the bottom line!
Thankfully, hordes of Harley bikers on a 100th anniversary pilgrimage to Milwaukee were absent from this motel. They had annoyed me with their early AM pipes at other stops on this trip, but that's another topic.
My only complaints were minimal privacy and light shielding offered by the flimsy window blinds with no curtains. The checkout time is a bit early at 10AM, but those are minor things overall.
The owners must be of deep religious faith, as they left a small flyer in the room, which read in part:
"Because this motel is a human institution to serve people and not solely a money making organization, we hope that God will grant the peace and rest while you are under our roof."
