“Hidden Gem”

We booked our stay last minute in July 2011. I requested a cabin, but later found out we were bumped to the "new rooms" in the back building. From the outside it looks alike a low budget place and we were not expecting much. We were very pleased when we found our room to be very spacious with a full kitchen and island with chairs. The bathroom was large and clean. We enjoyed every part of our stay. We even used the grill outside. They had satelite television in the room. We also had a couch and two queen size beds. The drive into the part entrance was about 7 miles away. I would recomend this motel to anyone. It is a clean and convenient family run motel.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back are newer and have a full kitchen.

“Great, clean place to stay outside Glacier National Park.”

We stayed in hotel room #7. Very clean, nice plush towels, full bath with tub and shower. Refrigerator and microwave. Very friendly, family run business. Ten minute drive to West Glacier. Great place to stay for a few nights. Reasonable nightly rates. The only negative is the walls are thin in the hotel rooms, but there is an option to stay in the cottages.

“Well-equipped and Comfortable”

My wife, her parents, and I stayed in one of the new units with a complete kitchen in early September 2011. We were impressed with the equipment in the kitchen and the overall comfort of the accommodations, which comprised half of a duplex. One night there were other guests in the other half, who we could not hear at all. We cooked a complete breakfast with a griddle, grilled bison burgers on the gas grill outside, and baked potatoes in the oven. The bathroom was spacious and included a tub, and the beds were comfortable. There was even wireless internet, and the friendly proprietor allowed us to use the washer and dryer. It is only a 15-minute drive from West Glacier and the entrance to the national park. I would recommend this establishment to anybody visiting Glacier. The new units like the one we stayed in might not have the character of the older cabins, but it was very comfortable, even for four people.

Room Tip: Ask for one of the new units with a kitchen.

“Great Place to Spend 3-7 days”

We stayed in famous Cabin 4 and had a great time. It is two rooms, with couch, TV, and kitchenette in one room and bedroom in other. The bed was nice, with large fluffy towels in the bath (the shower is small). The famous water heater has been replaced, but you can still hear a little bubbling once in a while but did not keep us awake.
The cabins are old, but we really enjoyed the front porch, the fixing our own breakfast, and just relaxing.....The only drawback at all was they installed the new type lights, so very dark at night, you could not read by the bedlamps! I found a regular bulb in the closet and switched it out, and so could read at night.
It is not fancy, but really nice if you wish to relax, and close to West Glacier entrance.

Room Tip: The rest. across the street has good food, but not fancy.

“Quaint lil place that you will love”

We stayed at one of the cabins and not the attached units. It was a wonderful experience after having stayed at a regular motel in Kalispell the previous 2 nights.
With a full kitchenette, couch, dining table and a separate bedroom, it was a very cozy offbeat cabin experience. As some other reviewers have noted, its not a Marriott or Hilton but its having the log cabin experience out in the wild.
They do change towels and provide room service everyday.
My only qualm was the shower being very very small and for a bigger person it might seem a challenge to shower in it. Also the water heater is in the bedroom and makes some noise at night but there is very little noise from outside.
Overall its much cheaper than the lodges yet gives you a very different experience than the other motels.

Room Tip: As for the detached Cabin. Its not much expensive than the regular rooms.
