We stayed at the Candlewycke for three nights at the beginning of a long road trip, and we could not have found a better spot. Megan was the best host, and went out of her way to take care of our needs, including driving in to town before we got there to try and help us arrange for bikes to rent in Bigfork.
The Inn is situated about a 10 minute drive from charming Bigfork, and nestled at the end of a quiet country road amongst gorgeous trees and active wildlife. A friend had originally recommended we stay in town, but we were so glad to be out of the middle of things and to have such a warm retreat. We went for a run one morning in the neighborhood and really enjoyed all the surrounding homes, countryside and remote feel.
We stayed in the Country Heaven room, which was super private, clean, and lovely. I don't know how it's possible, but that bed felt bigger and more comfy than our Cal King at home. It was so wonderfully dark and quiet at night, both outside and in our room (we finally got a chance to use the constellation-spotting app on my iPad)!
Each morning, we awoke to the most delicious and indulgently elaborate breakfasts that set our days off properly - smoothies, souffle, Croque Madame - but all with Megan's special touches. She is a fabulous cook who really took meticulous care in her presentation.
All in all, a dream stay and I hope we get to go back there soon!
