This was our first experience with a B&B. It was WONDERFUL! The food was exceptional! Our hosts were very friendly and engaging. Every place was clean and comfortable. I won't try to describe the property since their website does a great job. I will say that we spent as much time as possible just sitting outside in the peace and beauty and quiet.
O'Duachain's is about 5 miles outside of the actual town of Bigfork. The nearest neighbors are far enough away that we never heard them (except for the deer munching the grass outside our window at night).
Usually neither myself nor my spouse eat breakfast when we vacation since we like to sleep in but we made an exception all four days we were there. Our hostess, Mary is exceptional in the kitchen. Every breakfast was a delight!
If you are a light sleeper I would recommend getting the room in the main house or an upper room in the other building. Log constructed buildings always squeek. The main lodge has a huge fireplace and some very comfortable seating. My spouse fell asleep in one of the recliners one evening. A little bonus was the wireless internet available in that part of the lodge. It is expensive to stay anywhere in the Bigfork area so expect to pay a little more than you might in other parts of the country. It is well worth it.
