We stayed at big sky for a weeks skiing. The Stillwater is good value acommodation. Ground floor has a king sized separate bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and dining / lounge. Upstairs is another room with 2 double beds and another bathroom. Well laid out if a little dated, but it was nice to come back to a condo after skiing rather than hotel rooms.
You do have a 5 -7 min walk from the condos to the lifts, but it isnt steep and this was a good warm-up before skiing. All the lifties were helpful and had a sense that they wanted you to be there and have fun.
You can get groceries delivered from lone moose which saves a trip on shuttle if you dont have a car.
The upper mountain village is 5 min walk with some nice restaurants. Big sky is not the night club capital of the ski world but we liked the laid back atmosphere.
