My husband and I recently had the oppertunity to stay at this hotel.We were just thankful we only stayed one night.

We will never patron this place of business again.Personally I can't understand how they got their business lisense renewed.

The Econo Lodge West is the filthiest dump we have ever stayed in,not only did it have bed bugs,room in general had not been cleaned,floors were not mopped,tub and sinks had not been cleaned,drains were pluged,toilet run continually,it smelled of moldy must,there were stains on the bed sheets and obsenities written on the wall in the room.

On top of over priced rates for what they had to offer we were charged a three dollar deposite for a TV remote which was refundable upon return of the remote.We were not notified upon securing a room of any ammenities,breakfast or other.

I not only give this hotel a terrible rating but the City of Springfield Missouri also for allowing them to conduct their business in such a manner.

I would say this is a prime example of local government beaurocracy.I don't expect conditions to improve at this hotel so if you can find anothr to stay at I would strongly recomend it.

We always try to stay an a "Choice Hotel" when we are traveling, but this Econo Lodge was horrible. Room appeared to be old and very average. Upon waking at 2:00 am, "BED BUGS" were discovered in both beds! Front desk immediately refunded our money for the room and we left. We were never offered another room or anything. We took pictures of these nasty bugs...too many to count.


NEVER AGAIN!

++Good location just off hwy 13 and 44. Walmart is across the street. There are some places to dine close by.

--Staff was ok, not friendly, not grumpy, just ok.

-No real amenties like laundry or pool or even a working ice machine. There was "breakfast" but we skipped it and opted for the Golden Corral.

--The room smelled of musty mildew. Airconditioner was unable to hold a steady temp. Beds were double size, lumpy, old, and had dirty sheets. Carpets, counters, and furniture were also old and unclean. Stuff (garbage from previous guests) was left under the beds and in the corners.

Not a place I would stay again. Ever.
