Visited Springfield to visit the college I will be attending in the fall. I had heard the traffic in Springfield can be bad, so we picked a hotel with close shopping and restaurants. The Days Inn was perfect. It wasn't too far from the college and had great restaurants located inside Bass Pro Shop which is right across the street.

The hotel was fine for the visit and has a nice pool and hot tub and complimentary breakfast.

All in all this was a great place to stay.

I agree with the guy who had a terrible experience as we did also! Let me start by saying the pictures are deceiving. It looks much nicer and cleaner in the pictures. The pool left much to be desired. This place is not kid friendly. It smelled of smoke in main hallway that you had to walk through to get to the lobby and/or the breakfast room. The complimentary FULL breakfast was nothing more than you make your own waffles, two crockpots for biscuits and gravy and some breads and cereal set out. I felt like I was at some sort of pot luck breakfast where each guest just brought a few things. Plastic silverware and cheap paper plates topped off the "quality" dining experience. Come on can't you have regular dining ware available and wash it?? Then the icing on the cake came when we got up the next morning and one of our vehicles was broken into!! Just like the other reviewer the employees seemed to care less, did not mention there were even cameras out in in the lot regardless of whether they could allow us to view the film. Don't expect the local Springfield PD to do much either. The response you will get is "call us back if anything is stolen but we don't have many officers on duty on the weekends". When you call back and let them know what is stolen they just "add it to the report". This experience left us with such bad feelings about Springfield, MO that we won't be back to the city let alone the Days Inn on Sunshine. Oh, and don't forget to check your bill! They try to charge you $1.50 plus tax for a safe that you don't even use. You have to tell them that you didn't use it for them to take it off your bill....I guess this is the way they make up for the lost money of no repeat customers. I only wish I could get my money back! This was not worth the $90 + tax that I had to pay for staying here. I would say $49 at most was all this hotel was worth...just FYI for those who like to use Priceline. The tax should be refunded due to the lack of local law enforcement services.

We had a family function at a college, location is great and of course it's right across from bass pro,being an outdoor guy that is important!! The staff is very helpful and friendly,rooms clean and smell awesome. Joelynn the day mgr. Was so pleasant , and hotel mgr.Lois ware was the same. DON'T CHANGE MANAGEMENT DAYS INN their doing GREAT!!! Larry from St. Louis area.

We had come to visit our daughter and wanted a place close. So we selected the Days Inn by Bass Pro. I was extremely pleased with the location. Our stay was very pleasant. The people were very polite and responded very quickly to help us locate great places to eat and
some special sites to see. It was a very nice stay. Jacuzzi tub was nice.
