I travelled to St. Robert, Missouri to do some work at Ft. Leonard Wood and needed a hotel. Several of the other hotels in the area were booked solid, mostly due to the high number of families who come to town to attend graduation ceremonies at the base. Fortunately, I was able to get a weeklong stay at the Hampton Inn.

Let me just start by saying that I have generally been impressed with the Hampton Inn chain, and this one was no exception. The service was very good, the room was high quality, and the location was great. The hotel was located on St. Robert Plaza, along with a half dozen other hotels and countless restaurants and shops--most within walking distance. The base is less than a couple of miles away, straight down Missouri Avenue. The only suggestion that I can make is that they upgrade the internet service so that it is a bit faster.

The town is so small that most likely the only reason you'll ever go there is to visit the base, but if you do I recommend staying at the Hampton Inn.

Stayed here a couple weeks ago and definitely prefer this hotel to the Fairfield Inn. Better rooms.

The staff was superb and went out of their way to help and welcome us. The room was extremely comfortable and quiet. The amenities were excellent - in-room fridge and microwave, exercise room, pool, wireless internet, and wonderful information on the area and places to visit while there from the helpful staff. We would stay in this hotel again in a heartbeat!

Stayed at the hotel attending the gradution for my husband at Ft Leonard Wood. The hotel is about 3 miles away from the base, straight shot on the street, do not even have to make any turns.
When checking in, Front desk agent asked about the purpose of the visit, and then he pulled out the map of the base and showed us how to get to the graduation building.
Couple of small eating places next to the hotel withing the walking distance. Also, they hotel did not have the inside pool, but they allow you to use the pool next door at the other hotel. The heat was not turned on in the pool though, as we showed up; when maintenance came in to turn it on, they told us it will be a few hours for the pool to warm up. Felt weird to me to keep the pool cold during the winter... but that was a different hotel, unfortunately i do not remember what it was cold, it was right next door to Hampton Inn.
Breakfast is included in the rate; hot and cold items, excellent housekeeping service. Comfortable room to stay. Excellent service. Definetely recommend the hotel for anyone visiting the base.
internet connection was the best; service was free and connection was way better then at some hotel where you have to pay to get internet in the room and it turns out to be really bad.
