The front desk staff will prevent me from staying at this Inn again, and I will also prevent me from recommending this location to any of my friends.
I was initially overcharged for my room and when attempting to speak with the front desk to correct the error, there was no cooperation or offer of investigation. I was told that it was the policy of ALL hotels to place an additional hold of funds to cover any long distance calls or damage to the room. Further discussion with the manager on duty was to no avail, and the tone and manner of that individual was superior and condescending.
Discussing the error in person forced them to find I was charged for a two night, instead of the one night reservation, without authorization or notification. The second night was set to be "unauthorized" but nothing was done at that time to free the funds in my account. NO apology was given, and as I walked away, snide remarks and laughter was heard by both the manager and his associate.
When my daughter came down to speak with the manager, he advised her that her mother needed to plan for errors like this to occur, because at their hotel it was a regular occurance.
The atmosphere is unprofessional and appears to have ongoing employee errors.
