My husband is here in St Joe for a 6 week job. We stayed here because it had an outside pool and was pet friendly. At this time the pool is nasty. It has bird droppings in it as well as ususal dirt. It has not been vaccuumed at all. Along side the pool is a dead bird that has been there for over a week now..I have complained about this but it has not been addressed as of yet. My granddaughter who is 13 came to stay a week with us and was treated very rude by front desk clerk each time she went to ask for towels for us..Yes we are still here but are looking into changing to another hotel at this time. I do have to give rave reviews for housekeeping. They are very friendly and do a good job. They are to be commended.. But overall NO will not come back!!

We did not know this until we arrived in town and were trying to use a local map. The desk clerk said they'd been Super 8 since the end of June 2011.
While the public area showed signs of wear, and remnants of Best Western signage was evident, the room was very nice. It looked like the furniture, bed, and TV was new. The room was large, even with two queen beds. There was a refrigerator and microwave and a table with 2 chairs. There was good lighting all around the room. The sink was outside the bathroom, which we always think is nice. The bathroom was clean and the shower was refreshing.
This motel is off the southern most exit and does not have much around it. There was a very nice Subway just 2 buildings down so we had a good meal.
There is an area with several tables for breakfast. We found it lacking most of the Super 8 breakfasts but perhaps it was because of their newness. The juice was mostly water but the cereal and banana were good.
There was a outdoor pool in the rear of the motel; we didn't see anyone using it.
I would say give it a try; it was a good bargain and a nice room.

Room was noisy. Lobby smelled very strongly of Indian food. Fridge in room smelled like something died in it and had never been cleaned out. Threadbare blankets. Dirty grout in bathroom.

Lobby reeked of Indian food. Even 20 minutes after posted check-in time 1 of my 2 rooms wasn't ready. The other, I couldn't get into. Card key didn't work. Staff member got me in with his key after 5 minutes of trying. But, when I asked how I was supposed to get in the next time, he shrugged his shoulders and walked away. Room LOOKED clean. Closer inspection revealed water stains in the ceiling, holes in the sheets, and either small bugs of dirt or sand in the crevices of the mattress. The other room was still being made up by a staff who carried their supplies (sheets, etc) in an old, rusty shopping cart. Asked for my money back, and checked out immediately.
