“Country Hearth Inn at KC MO”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 January 2012

I stayed at the Country Hearth Inn I was traveling with my job.The hotel staff were polite and friendly, The rooms were quiet and clean, very comfortable. The room included a refrigerator microwave as well as a good TV with good channel lineup. I had dinner at the Ameristar Casino a short drive from the hotel. The next morning I had a good cup of coffee on my way out. The Country Hearth Inn was a good value . I would stay here again when in Kansas City.

“Outdated, and run down.”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 December 2011

The bathrooms have mold on the shower heads, tile, and shower curtains. Stained carpet, and standing water in the hallways. VERY OUTDATED.

“The worst motel ever, complete with mold, bedbugs, and prostitutes”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

This is by far the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. For starters there are several cars in the parking lot that need to be in the junk yard, with "The Club" on the steering wheel. Next there is an awful smell that hits you when you open your door. Then there are the rooms with dirty carpet, Pink, and black mold, stained towels, dirty walls, and flooded hallways. If you can make it through the night over the highway noise, and doors slamming through the night. They have breakfast prepackaged biscuits, sausage, previously frozen eggs, and canned gravy. They also have wireless internet, but it is extremely slow. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT THIS MOTEL. The only places to eat are McDonalds, Wendys, Subway, Taco Bell, Waffle House, and Dennys. Difficult to get to from the highway.

Room Tip: There are several other hotels a few miles north keep driving.

I am sorry about your disappointment with our hotel. We want all of our guests to feel at home. We have been working towards correcting the issue with the old cars. A problem that has been resolved. As for the complaints about mold and bed bugs - This hotel does not have an issue with either - as can be verified by the local health department. I can say with absolute certainty that Prostitutes are and will not be allowed here! In the future please be absolutely fair and report actual facts.

“Almost slept in my car instead”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2011

At first arrival we were issued key cards... neither of which worked. theres limited access to your room considering all of the surrounding doors of the building do not open with key cards, although the clerk said they SHOULD. So it was a LONG walk to our room going through the front and continuing through the entire building. After getting issued another set of key cards, onlly ONE which ended up working, we walked up to the room. The door was propped open and unlocked, beds were made, floor was filthy, someones empty plastic bottle was laying in the corner, bath tub looked like hell and the towel rack was torn out of the wall, leaving behind a torn drywall appearance, not very presentable. Chamber maids were walking down the hall singing loudly with their headphones in. yes the TV was old, but I dont go to hotels for the TV. The pool area, not bad, however, although you can access the pool from multiple doors, god forbid you need to go back into your (upstairs) room, because only one door (nearest the lobby) is unlocked. downstairs rooms have their own doors leading to the courtyard/pool. Now, when that was said and done, I laid down to sleep... kind of. My wife and I woke up achy due to the rocks they call beds being the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on, and I have been to cheaper hotels. I woke up in the midle of the night ready to sleep in my car, but somehow managed to get back to sleep and woke up feeling like I just played a game of football.
