For the price of the room I would expect better amenities. First, a small tube-type television in 2010??? Then there's the channel selection...dismal. No HBO so no "True Blood", the only premier channel was Showtime and Showtime 2 which seemed dedicated mostly to either totally unknown boxers or "The Real L Word". Some choice. Not sure which I prefer to watch less. It's July so its Tour de France time of year but no Versus channel here so no Tour. Had to find a sports bar in Zona Rosa to watch it. No Comedy Channel so no John Stewart, Colbert, or South Park. No secondary movie channels like Turner Classic Movies so pretty much no movies unless you pay for pay-to-play. The wireless internet connection is so slow compared to the wireless N I'm used to, forget the internet. Its way too slow for streaming video so I couldn't even watch the daily video updates of the Tour. Also, you have to log onto their portal daily to use the internet so you're never quite sure when you're going to time-out. If you have any software that accesses the internet for updates during boot-up, you're begging for trouble with this setup. Then the silverfish I found in the bed didn't help me feel any happier about my stay. There are definitely better places to stay in the area. Hope my employer doesn't put me up in this place again. On the other hand, the room is very nice, kitchenette is real handy and the staff was very nice and cooperative. So if you don't care that your room has a lousy TV with a lousy channel selection and internet that operates at the speed of a slug despite the fact that the connection shows "Excellent", this is the place for you.

I wanted to apologize for your less-than-enjoyable stay at the Homewood Suites KCI. We know a lot of travelers stay connected with news & sports either via the television or online. You will be happy to know that in the fourth quarter of this year, the hotel will be receiving flat screen, HD televisions along with a partial renovation of guest suites. I have sent your comments regarding our channel selection & slow internet onto our corporate office, as they make the decisions regarding upgrading those items. Your comments regarding the silverfish & waffle-making instructions have been passed along to the General Manager & Chief Engineer for action. Please keep giving feedback and keep traveling.
