This place is right in the middle of the wonderful town of Sayulita, so its close to restaurants shops, etc, and its less than 5 min walk to the beach. I don't think the reception staff speak any English, but they are friendly and helpful. We checked in and were guided to our room...it was about 110 stairs to the room! (I counted). SO if you don't like walking up stairs, I do not advise staying here. However, we were perched high up on the hill with really amazing views - very private and very beautiful. My boyfriend was dying to watch the U of Texas football game when we went, and the hotel had couches and a TV in the lobby, so the reception guy got us some beers and watched the football game with us. The lobby is not fancy, but had a communal kitchen. The rooms...ehh...a little on the shabby side, but better than a hostel. Nice mural on the wall, minifridge in the corner, but the bed was not very comfortable. Also, the neighboring house next to the hotel had a big rooster that crowed loudly at sunrise every morning. There is a nice observation deck, and a pool also (although I never understand why someone would vacation to mexico to swim in a silly pool instead of the wonderful ocean! - Sayulita is great for swimming and mellow surfing) A little noisy from the music downtown, but not bad. We had the most fantastic vacation, so we only have good memories of this place. Otherwise, it maybe too rustic for most Americans. Pros: location, view, price, Cons: stairs, very basic accommodations.
