“Great hotel, great people!”

We stayed at Villas Sayulita for a couple weeks and we had a great time there. Arturo and the staff were truly excellent, helping in any way they could to make our stay as great as possible. We rented the palapa at the top of the hotel, and it was great. The "room" has a lot of character, it's on two/three levels, with the living + kitchen at level 0, a bed at level 1/2 and another one at the top level, but it's really only 1 big space, with an elevated stairway, hard to describe, but really cool. It was great to be able to dip in the pool when it was hot out, very refreshing. Arturo gave us plenty of great pointers for things to do and places to see, he's super friendly, and his english is impeccable which for us was very helpful! All in all we had a wonderful stay.

Room Tip: The palapa is a great choice.

“My New "HAPPY PLACE"!!!!!!! :)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 July 2011

I have waited a while to write my review of Hotel Villas Sayulita ,as upon my return to san diego i was still so enamored with this place and its people that i wanted time to come down from my Enfatuation, and really be objective......and Alas i now miss it even more!!!

this is my new "Happy Place!"....and i can not wait to return.
This was my second time in the area and the first time i spent in Sayulita. I researched my butt off as i really wanted to find a great hotel for my 8 days , and booking sight unseen can be a let down sometimes. after many calls and emails i felt that this would be the one so i booked . when i arrived , i quickly realized that this was not simply going to be a hotel for the week , but it was going to be my "Home ". I rented a rooftop palapa, and it was amazing.. Mass privacy to the point that when "en casa", and even out on the enormous deck, which offered great views of the hilly areas surrounding and the jungle, i was able to live in the buff....:) i loved that! how relaxing and private. the place was big enough that i was able to put up a friend for 4 days of my trip as well...... greeat view of the pool area...quiet part of this amazing village....just far enough from the bars that there was peace and quiet and just close enough to be able to safely stumble home after some drinks! the accomodations were clean , spacious, simple, and SAFE!...... Ican not say enough about how much iloved staying at this place.........but that isnt even the best part.....
the people running this hotel were so kind, conscientious , considerate , and kool tat by the time i left, i felt like i was family.....the manager, Arturo, was the perfect combination of down to earth and professional and went out of his way to ensure that i always had everything i needed. Then there were rasta Luis, Nacho , the landscaper/massage therapist Arturo, and luis #2.....all made me feel, even with our mild language barrier, like a brother. in fact they helped me work on my spanish which was awesome.......1 block from the beach and a 2.5 hour flight from my home....this is a place i can not wait to get back to!!!!!!! Hotel Villas Sayulita....Please dont change a thing , and ill see you soon XOXOXO

Room Tip: go for the rooftop palapa in the back..privacy+++

Very nice inexpensive hotel. Located in a quiet place of the town and close to the beach. Personnel is very cool and friendly plus flexible. They really make you feel at home. Look no more and stay at this hotel...you will really enjoy the big rooms, clean bathrooms. No bugs...which is good.
