To be honest this hotel I choosed to earn Choice Club points, but choice was not big here anyway. I had only one day trip to this area to meet a customer and hotel was also good place for meeting. Hotel had a wireless internet in a lobby and I had a successful deal that ended with a money transfer. For this distant area hotel is in a very good condition.

This was a logical choice as I have choice club card and always try to stay in Quality hotels. But as always I was not disappointed. As in most of Norwegian hotels everything is clean and in good condition. Staff is always friendly. You get access to the internet and also the breakfast is good enough.
I will definitely choose this hotel again if I have new customer in Oppdal.

My rating for the hotel is influenced by the price, a little over 150 euro for 1 dbl room for 1 night. Average sized room, tv with welcome message (name written incorreclty), a balcony with a floor unable to walk bare footed, window only partially to be opened (at night very warm in room), the bathroom seemed unfinished. The breakfast was extensive but no eggs except boiled ones.
We checked their low cost affilliate, FuJing Hotel (or motel?) but found no one at the desk so went back to the hotel and grudgingly accepted their price...
Better to seek accommodation outside oppdal probably.

empty monday through thursday then invaded by locals at the weekend celebrating xmas or perhaps they do that every weekend of the year. Very noisy at the weekends with many drunk locals littering public areas of hotel from early pm til early hours of the morning (in fact until the next morning when we were there). Hotel unsympathetic to complaints about noise and drunks bothering guests. On the plus side, hotel food quite acceptable. Of course, forget the drinks in Norway - fiver for a beer or [...] glass of wine in the hotel (nearly £3 for a coke). location is right next to the town's railway station and old part of hotel has the feel of a railway hotel. modern extension not subtle but somehow it works. we were in a party of about 12. great variance in quality of rooms. Some really rather good, others small with poor amenities, but seemed to be same price. Walls paper thin. Suggest if at all not happy try and get them to move you. They were quite good about this.
Would I stay there again? Probably but only if i had to be in oppdal and then only because there isnt much else. Could really benefit with some amenities such as sauna and pool. there is nothing to do - no games room to speak of etc.
