We were told by the management the hotel was about to be refurbished. This was their reason given for shoddy accommodation e.g. broken door. There were breakfasts served - not very good but dinner was only available for pre booked bus tours. As there is very little alternative eateries in Hellesylt this was not positive.

The setting for the hotel however could be beautiful
