Regardless of the negative reviews on this website, my spouse and I decided to try this hotel. (It was the only American owned and operated in town, which is a plus for us.)

Upon arrival, I was impressed with the exterior of the hotel. It truly stands out in Houston, with a very natural feel to it. I was assisted by a young man by the name of Logan, who checked me in promptly after very little. The room was also very efficiently priced.

I stayed in one of the Suites. I was very impressed. While the size of the room left some to be desired, it was quite finely furnished, and very well decorated. It included a microwave, refrigerator, flat screen television, and cable, all in my 75 dollar price range.

At around 9 p.m, we needed more pillows and a bottle opener. ;) The employees in the office immediately gave us new pillows, and let us use their own personal bottle opener. After a peaceful stay, I checked out around 10, checkout was very prompt, and the young couple running the office were extremely friendly.

I would recommend this hotel, it has a very nice, sophisticated look and feel to it, and the employees are very personal, friendly, and efficient in their service.

They make you pay for the full reservation upfront. The "premium" room was tiny, the bathroom was terribly moldy smelling that pervaded the whole tiny room. The bed was hard as a rock. The hotel staff could not refund when we checked out after the first horrible night. We had to wait for the owners to credit us. They never did. Phoning again and again gets the same lame response, only the owner can issue refunds, and they are not here now, but they will get the message. No returned calls, no refund. Avoid this horrible Inn. They charge upfront on purpose - to keep your money if you cancel early.

When I arrived for check-in I had to go over to a Restaurant to find someone to check me in. I waited a long period of time before some at the restaurant acknowlged I was there and found someone to help me. As I checked in I was charged for my full stay up front. I didn't like that, what if I needed to leave a day early for an emergency.
When I made reservations I specifically requested a room with a microwave. Upon check in I asked if the room I was assigned to had a microwave, I was told "I don't know, but if it doesn't I will just take one from another room." What???
The room was extremely small, no deadbolt or chain lock on the door. I felt very unsafe. There were cobwebs in every corner of the room with a couple of spiders to boot. I had to kill those before I would sleep in the room. The bathroom smelled of mildew and was very small. The bed was on a wooden platform and therefore made the mattress overly firm. My lower back ached for days after my stay.
All in all I would not recommend this motel to anyone. I would recommend they go on down the road and find a more customer friendly , comfortable place to stay.

We got there at 11:00 and checked in, construction going on in entire parking lot. Came back around 4:30 and construction still going on, no place to park with a Ford F450 and trailer. Got into room, my bedroom closet is bigger than the room, looked into the bathroom, toilet, sink and shower. The exterior door was an interior door with no dead bolt or chain lock on the inside. Very unsecure. The size of the room, the cab of our truck was bigger. Customer relations very rude. Wanted a $25.00 refund fee for giving us a credit on the room.
Went down a mile further down the road, got a room $10.00 cheaper and twice the size. $70.00 is too much for Houston, MO.
