The only problem I had was our door did not lock. Good thing we checked the door to make sure it was locked because we would have left our stuff not securely locked. There was a very nice maintenance guy that came up and changed the door card battery and everything was good.

This hotel is just simple, a taste of what the Marriott chain of hotels has to offer. We had to have one simple thing, a hotel to stay in St. Louis for the night before our flight back home to Los Angeles, so we decided to pick an affordable option. We decided on the Courtyard on the outskirts of St. Louis. I just got the taste of what Courtyard itself does for it's travelers. Decor was simple and nice. The room we had was big and spacious although a little outdated. The beds however were full of complete decoration, from the embroidered linens to the very decorated coverlet.
Bathroom was very simple, but the nice thing is that the vanity is outside the bathroom. The toilet and shower are completely in a separate area for privacy. That's good, if you have a bunch of people getting ready for the day. Our room can sleep six, two queen beds and a sofa bed next to it.
It was nice for just one night before we went home. It is just simply what Courtyard does.

Worst nights sleep ever! The highway noise was so bad I couldn't sleep, and I was extremely tired! The front desk clerk offered absolutely no explanation/apology when I described my experience.

We stayed at Marriott's all over St. Louis, Des Moines and Chicago. This was the most disappointing place during the entire trip. Check in was fine, the room, not so much. The fan in the bathroom sounded like an air plane was landing on the ceiling. The toilet was startling at every flush! In the morning, there was a roach in the middle of the bathroom floor that we left for the cleaning staff to deal with. The bed was lumpy, and the love seat had seen better days. Also, after getting a complimentary breakfast at all of the other Marriott's, I was quite surprised that this one had you pay for breakfast. Yes, the room was only $79.00, but I would have rather have payed a bit more, and got the free breakfast. Sorry Marriott, you let me down on this place.
