I had a staycation this weekend and found this local gem based on the value price; this hotel sits right off I64 and Olive/Clarkson Rd exit; I was surprise at how clean and updated this facility was; they have an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, completely stocked with dry towels; a fitness room and best of the staff was OUTSTANDING! Everything was outstanding, my room was clean and everything worked as it should; my room even had a LCD TV; the hallway had been updated, the carpet was new, the lobby area was clean and modern; morning breakfast was a great value, they offered turkey sausage, scramble eggs, French toast sticks and made to order hot waffles; also offered, was an assortment of juices, cereals, coffee and yogurt. This hotel is located close to a major mall and restaurants; I highly recommend this hotel to everyone

The nice thing about Hampton Inns is that you know what to expect when you stay in one, no matter where it is. The bad thing is that the "little things" tend to stick out since each one is so similar.

Overall, on the surface, this hotel is fine. Good location, quiet rooms. However, a few negatives:

- The hotel seems very "tired" and in need of refreshening.
- Water pressure was terrible; making for a frustrating shower.
- While my room had a flat screen HDTV, the picture quality - either due to the cable service or the wiring - was awful. Some channels were almost unwatchable.

I would probably stay here again, but it could be better.

Though we were in the area to visit downtown St. Louis, we chose this b'cos the rates were good and it was right off the highway. Took about 30 mins tops to the arch and 20 mins to Forest Park. It is very easy to find, very quiet and of course, very comfortable. Lots of restaurants/dining options around. Friendly staff. There's a mall right across. Excellent spread for breakfast. Only a couple of areas that needed some improving... A second waffle maker would be good as there were a lot of people waiting for waffles during breakfast. There was a cart loaded with trash bags just outside the rear entrance to the parking which caused a nasty smell.

Nestled in an office park off I-64, the Hampton Inn is close to the highway but removed from the congestion. In fact, for those seeking a pleasant stroll, there is a sidewalk that meanders through the office park. This hotel delivered on the fundamentals – the wireless was fast, the breakfast was ample, and the room was cozy. What separated this Hampton Inn from others was the service. The front desk associate identified an issue with our Hilton Honors account and eagerly welcomed our dog who is “a guest as well”. When we discovered several toiletries had not made the trip, she was quick to offer replacements. While the hotel façade reveals an earlier generation Hampton Inn, the interior is welcoming and updated. This hotel is a practical choice for an evening’s rest.

Pro’s: Fundamentally sound on rooms and amenities; above-average service

Con’s: No glaring issues with the hotel
