“spacious presidential condos”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2011

We stayed here in a 2 bedroom, presidential condo during the week between Christmas and New Year's 2010.

Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was plenty big and had the expected appliances. I would only request more than service for 6, since every time we ate a meal, we needed to wash the plates, forks, etc.

The living room had very comfortable, large furniture-- a love seat, couch, and arm chair with a very large coffee table. They were changing out the tv's in some of the units as we were leaving, but ours still had the old style tvs.

Both bathrooms had a corner jacuzzi tub/shower and double vanity. And both bedrooms had king beds with an exterior door as well as interior door (to the living room).

The staff was helpful and friendly, the fitness room was fairly large with a couple treadmills, elliptical, recumbant bike, exercise bike, weight machine and free weights. The activity center has a neat little theater where they show movies (new release dvds) 3 times per day for free. The kids played arcade games, pool, ping pong, and foosball.

There are about 4 leather couches in the lobby area as well for sitting and relaxing.

The only downside was that wifi is only available in the activity center/lobby building, which was a drive from our condo.

“Quiet retreat in Fall Season”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2010

We stayed in the time share units in the Presidential buildings. The resort was on the east side of town, secluded from the main drag but not too far away. There is some construction on the bridge over to the west side but traffic moved fast. The resort was pretty quiet but that may have to do with the season. We played on the golf course almost every day and it is a very nice course. The pools and other features we did not use. The rooms were clean, the water pressure great with very hot water. The tubs would be hard for an older person to step into, but the bathrooms were very large. The kitchen was well equipped and the deck was delightful overlooking the trees. Check in went fast but when we went to get tickets to some shows, the concierge was not very knowledgeable and slow. The deck was the feature we enjoyed most and the concierge was the worst.

“Nice, Nothing Exceptional..but for the first trip, not so bad.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 August 2010

We were able to stay at Holiday Hills with friends. We stayed in a two bedroom and found the accommodations satisfactory. There were a few little glitches in the room, slow coffee pot, strange shower attachment within the jacuzzi tub, small screen televisions, thin ceilings..we were on the second floor and heard all the running and walking above us for the weekend...but all in all not a bad experience.

If you want to be out beyond the hustle and bustle of Branson, this is the place for you. If you prefer being closer to the "strip" you will have to drive through downtown Branson and be involved in traffic to get into shows, etc. I personally would have preferred closer, but maybe the noise would have been a bother had that occurred.

A clean place with a lovely pool and nice clubhouse of sorts. It was a nice place to stay for the first time in Branson.

“NEVER stay again”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 August 2010

Feet were black from walking around in room which I have always done in others resorts and never had this problem. The furniture was very worn along with cabinets. They try to have it hid by some of the "worn" look on the cabinets already, but this was peeling paint, etc. There was SO much dust under the beds it was appauling and we found things under the bed as my kids had dropped some things as they do. There was toilet paper looking debris that was in the small pool by the "lodge" rooms that we had gotten out and put it on the deck to have them clean up and it was two days later before it was. There was broken glass on the patio where there is the small playground by the grill that remained there throughout the trip. My kids saw a wasp nest and we reported it and it was not taken care of when we left two days later also. I have been staying in timeshare resorts for over 15 years and this is the FIRST time I never had housekeeping come in once during our stay. I had to go get the garbage bags and dish soap from the front desk as that was also a first. For being a gold crown I was VERY disappointed. From the people who stayed at the Ambassador and Presidential, there was nothing but praise so two huge differences from where you stay. The lodge side is the low rent side and they treat you like it. You are a LONG ways away from everyone. Don't bother with their conceirge service either as you can get tickets elsewhere cheaper. You had to go to the Welcome Center to use internet so be prepared to drive if you are a ways away or walk to it. I could keep going but just get ill thinking that I had a week of no sleep, filth that we avoided the room and I was wanting to leave but my husband said the kids were having a fun time and to suck it up for them. I

“Great location with acceptable accomodations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 June 2010

I own a timeshare at this resort and thought it would be nice to actually stay here vs. trading it in for another location. Plus I thought it would be good to see what I had purchased with friends.

Overall the resort looks nice and the people were very nice that worked there. When we needed more soap and toilet paper, we received it pretty quickly. They also were not push about us doing the timeshare presentation....I already own there, why would I buy another unit?!

The unit we stayed in is a lodge or "budget friendly" (according to Silverleaf's website - also means no w/d in the unit) with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is room for 6 if 2 people sleep on the pull out couch. However, it would be rather crowded if you did have 6 adults, not too bad if it included several children. The kitchen was small but sufficient to make breakfast each morning and dinner several nights. I was disappointed to see that a previous guest had set a hot pot on the formica and left a burn mark and that the resort had not fixed this yet. The bed in the master bedroom was also not comfortable. To me it was as hard as a rock and made sleeping difficult and I woke up sore many mornings.

This is also the first resort that I have stayed at that did not offer beach/pool towels. Only the main pool had towels available and they are very small and thin.

All of this aside, the location of the resort is perfect. It is 3 miles from Branson, a very quick drive (even with some construction) to get to downtown Branson and the mall area. A few more miles and you are on the strip with all of the theaters and museums.

If I could give this resort a 1/2 star, I would have rated it 3.5 vs. 3. I didn't think it deserved 4 stars but it is a little better than 3.
