This Hampton needs the attention of corporate inspectors. The rooms and common areas are dirty, the A/C sounds like a train and the room smelled like urine. We went ahead and stayed because there was a big fair going on and all the nearby hotels were booked up. The next morning I mentioned the smell to the desk clerk and she comped our room but she didn't act surprised. This hotel has an 'I don't care' air about it. Definately the bottom of the Hampton ladder.

This is a very friendly, clean hotel. Excellent location. I would stay here again. Nice comfortable bed. CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN. Nice free breakfast every morning. Eggs, bacon, ham, pastries, bread, muffins, bagles, waffles, yogurt, cereal, coffe, juice, grits, and oatmeal. Located just off the highway in a safe clean area. Free Wi-Fi.

My colleagues and I stopped here for one night. The location is great with lots of restaurants, stores and good highway access. Rooms were clean and comfortable, however when I tried to shower, my water never got hot so I had to take a cold shower. Hopefully they can get that resolved because it was very unpleasant. There is no on-site fitness center, you have to walk across to another hotel. The staff was good, not too friendly but recognized they made and error and quickly fixed it. Business center is one computer, so get there early. All in all, not a bad place to overnight but would probably try another hotel in the area.

The location of the hotel is great. There's a lot of nice dining and retail to choose from. It's the lack of the little things that add up to a less than average review.

Upon arrival, I ask which direction the exercise room was in and they pointed across the street at the Fairfield Inn. This Hampton does not have a fitness room. The first time I've ever been to a Hampton that does not at least have a treadmill. Also while in the lobby I chose to get an apple rather than a cookie. I take one bite into the apple and it's pretty much apple sauce under the skin; they were very old.

Check into the room and there's no pen & pad of paper on the desk. No complimentary bottle of conditioner in the bathroom. HBO is blacked out. Cheap plastic hangers, some broken, in the closet. The iron chord was left unraveled and in a knotted mess. The AC unit sounds like it's running off of a diesel engine.

If you don't travel much, these items may seem rather petty. But when you spend 15 nights a month in hotels all over the US, they start to matter. I will not return be returning to this location.
