Motel 6, located just south of Ridgeland, Mississippi and just north of Jackson, MS off Hwy 55 is probably the worst motel we have ever stayed at. We arrived after midnight after booking the room using the internet while we traveled from Michigan to Mississippi. Booking the room was easy. When we arrived we checked in very quickly. That's the best I can say after that. Our room had two sway back beds, neither one was comfortable. The bathroom electricity did not work, nor the electricity over the sink. The bathroom was like entering a tomb, dark and foreboding. The worst place we have ever stayed and we will not be visiting this particular Motel 6 again. I'd rather shoot myself in the foot first.

This is the worst motel 6 I had ever stayed in. It was nasty from top to bottom. Only stay here if you don't have anywhere else to go and you don't want to sleep in your vehicle or the streets. They do not need to leave their light on for anyone, they need to turn the light off and renovate and get new management/owner.

Checked in about 6:00 and went and ate supper When we gat back to our room it was filthy and smelled horrable. The carpet was filthy beyond belief. The room next door was full of very unsavory looking people that was partying very loudly. The pool was green and had garbage floating in it, the whole place looked like a pig sty. A person would have to be very desperate for a room to stay here. We ask for our money back but was told since we had been there for more than 15 minutes we couldn't get a refund. We ended up chalking it up as a loss and went across the road and staying at a Super8.

Our small group was traveling through all 50 states, a long haul, and a stress free accommodation is vital for keeping us chipper on the way. The manager at this Motel 6 went out of her way to make sure that we were taken care of. The staff greeted us with smiles, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and we felt genuinely welcome, like friends.
