“creepy”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

the Greenville inn is a very nice hotel the room was nice, upon arriving at the hotel....customer service wasnt so bad,it could have been a little better,my room was on the second floor, i took the elevator up which gave me this very eery feeling....walking down the hallway took me back to this horror movie "the shining' floors creaking, but walking into my room the bed was comfortable the room was clean I really liked it....I wanted to turn the tv off after I went to bed but i was given a feeling some one else was there ......this must be a old building because holds many memories for someone...but overall my stay was ok but edgy......

“Refused to honor a reservation”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 May 2009

My wife and I took 2 very young grandchildren for an overnight visit to Greenville, MS. We had previously stayed here on another visit and had liked it. We had requested connecting rooms and were told that we had reserved the only connecting rooms in the hotel. We got there in the early afternoon to check in. Our reservation was not honored upon arrival as the connecting rooms had been given to another traveler. I felt sorry for the young lady at the desk as she desparately tried to gain understanding by phone from her superiors as to what occurred. She made the reservation and knew we had reserved the connecting rooms. She was as outdone as we were that we had been bumped. Be careful of this place as a reservation with a confirmation number means nothing at this hotel.

Rooms clean but dated.

Employees were unfreindly but efficent in there jobs.

Expensive for the price/quality relationship.

“No security”

We attended a wedding in Greenville and were encouraged to sta y at the Greenville inn and /Suites. Rooms were spacious; beds were comfortable; bathroom was adequate. Be aware: cypress tree roots in water table make all water appear dirty. The breakfast was hearty-sausage and biscuits, egg patties, fruit, yogurt, bagels, etc. In the evening they had fresh chocolate chip cookies. Now for the bad part: there is no security in the parking lot of this inn which is in the ghetto. My cousin's suv had the window glass broken out and they were robbed. /The hotel said they heard a noise and called security but no one ever arrived. So, despite all the good things I can say about this inn, I would recommend anywhere else.

“The service of the South, refreshing and fun”

It is always interesting to research and review places to stay in small towns and villages in a place that you know nothing about. We traveled the Tamale Road via Hwy 1 to see Mississippi from the ground and meet the people. This nights stop lead us to Greenville at the end of a day and a steak diner that was on our list at Doe's Eat Place, a true experience of great service, great price and huge steaks.

The research on accomodations, included a couple of national small chains and this Hotel. When the other hotels were contacted, I did ask one question - What about the Greenville Inn & Suites? The answer was always stay there.

We did and were meet by it's professional staff and choclate chip coookies. You will find this a nice interlude on theTamale Road great value and great service, also breakfast.
