The hotel accomodated my requested for a disability room without a problem, and surprisingly, the room was actually for disababled persons -- all the light switches, counters, etc... at the right height -- which has not been my experience in "disabled" rooms else where.
Due to a problem with my in-room refridgerator, my week-long supply of groceries all spolied overnight on my first night. The maintainence main, General Manager (GM), and other hotel staff were all present when I let them know of the situation. My friend who drove me to Rochester and to the grocery was leaving and I had 1) no more money to replace my food; 2) no means to get back to the store.
The GM said she would go back and replace all my food if I would supply my list. The very smart maintainence man said no list required, as they would just replace what they threw away, and they would take care of everything (if I didn't mind them entering my room while I was at treatment) while I was gone.
My expectations were BLOWN AWAY when I returned to find a new 'fridge, fully stocked with my previous slection of food, PLUS several drink treats that were NOT there before: sparkling cranberry juice and two different kinds of green tea!!! That is EXCELLENT customer service.
I did not have to fight, complain, provide a receipt -- nothing. The staff went out over and above expectations to ensure my comfort, my satisfaction, my everything.
Even the housekeeping staff is EXCELLENT and has gone out of their way to make me comfortable.
I recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. It's a great hotel, and I could care less if the decor is slightly dated. The SERVICE is wonderful. The beds are firm, but not uncomfortable.
If I come back for more treatments, I WILL stay here. No question. Thank you Country Inn & Suites South.
