This is about the only place to stay for mile and miles. It is a nice cozy place. We had the pool and whirlpool all to ourselves. It was GREAT! The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. Free breakfast in the am. Definately a good value. The internet was wireless but not strong/consistent enough in the room so we sat in the lobby/hearth room. My only complaint was the bed was rather low and squishy/springy. If you are sensitive to this kind of thing, or if you are used to a firm mattress at home, be prepared to have a backache and take some advil.
Preston is a little town and food choices are limited. Your best bet is the supper club just up the road. We had the special and it was hot and plentiful with a yummy fresh salad bar. For lunch, I recommend driving north out of town about 5 miles to Los Gabels on the corner of 52 and 80. It is in the middle of nowhere. We had an excellet HOT authentic mexican meal. Yummmy!
