My only complaint is that they use something really harsh to watch the bedding. the detergent smell was so strong I (and 3 of the 5 i was with) had trouble sleeping, and felt very congested from the odor. It was similar to the sensation of breathing in bleach for extended periods. It has been 3 days, and my skin is still dry and itchy from it. i have sensitive skin, but this is really crazy. They really need to rinse their bedding better, or use a milder detergent. Other than that, it was a place to sleep, and that is all we needed. it was clean, and just fine.

Lots of traffic noise, banging doors, parking lot noise. Fairly new place. Bed was firm and comfortable if I could sleep through loud truck noises. My room was not cleaned when I moved in. The front desk lady had to clean it for me. Not a good sign. Staff is decent. For New Ulm, unless you go to a B and B there is no other choice. They advertise rooms for 59 bucks. That is a scam. They only have a couple of those. They keep flashing the price even when those few rooms are taken. I think my single bed "suite", and I use the term suite real loosely, was 84 bucks. I would not recommend ANY New Ulm Hotel/motel unless you have to be here. It is the best of the poor choices here. Breakfast was really basic. Muffin, toast, cereal, juice and coffee

Nice title, huh family friendly? For tournaments if you have a controlled grp. yes; otherwise it is just too small.

Well, I can't complain about the price. We got a suite for $80.0O. The room was clean. However, this is the second time we have stayed there. I'd call ahead and find out if the Hockey Association is staying there. They book rooms for tournaments there often. I'd avoid the place like the plague when that group of kids is around. They are LOUD and rude and take over the pool area as if they are the only guests. The parents aren't alot better, sitting around the pool all hooked up to cell phones and NOT supervising the obnoxious children. Other than that, you get a clean room for a reasonable price and about what you'd expect for that price for breakfast (typical donuts, muffins..not any hot items or fruit). Front staff were very professional and courteous. The pull out bed was shot and my kids ended up on floor. It was late so we didn't complain. Next time, I'll check the mattress first and switch rooms if necessary.
