When I was making arrangements to exhibit at the Farmfest '11 show in Gilfillan Estates I thought finding accomodations would be easy. I was so wrong, but what a blessing it turned out to be. I ended up in New Ulm, MN, a town I had never before heard of. When I entered my room at the Microtel Inn I was blown away by the clean smell and the very comfortable layout. The staff had made my check-in a breeze and with a Burger King nearby I knew I wouldn't starve. I especially want to thank the staff as they were always friendly, and helpful. The last morning I knew I would be leaving early and would miss the complimentary breakfast so I was pleasantly surprised to find that the gentleman on the front desk had put the food out early, so I didn't miss a thing. Thanks for a memorable experience. Now that I know where New Ulm is I'll definitely put the Microtel on my list of places to stay.

Nice accomodations, friendly staff - our stay was for (4) days and we enjoyed staying here.

We enjoyed our stay at the Microtel. It was a quiet and clean environment. The air conditioner seemed to stop working during the night but the fan kept running so it was tolerable. The staff were friendly enough and check in was efficient and uneventful. Wi fi worked well. I would stay again for a business trip.

This was our first stay on a family vacation to see Laura Ingalls homes and homestead and then on to South Dakota and Wyoming. For a good clean stay and plenty of value this is your place to stay. This was the best value we had all vacation-we did stay at a couple of nicer places on our trip, but none topped the overall value here! Rooms were clean and adaquate, staff very friendly, and the breakfast considering the value was nice. The pool which we used does need to be updated and a note that the whirlpool was out of order!
